“nice hotel would stay again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2011

took a weekend trip to disneyland for my daughters b-day...overall hotel was really nice. we got a 2 bedroom suite, king bed in 1bd and 2 queens in the other. each bedroom had its own bathroom with a shower/tub combo and own sink, each room also had its own tv. there was a living room with a full sleeper sofa and a third tv. There was also a full kitchen and a dinning table big enough for 4...5 if you pull the chair from the desk up to the table..there was also a breakfast buffet every morning. You could even make your own waffles. pool was heated...there was even a "kiddie" pool about 1 foot for the smaller kids @ the hotel...we requested late check out on sunday so the kids could have extra time for the pool and they obliged with no problem and no charge...overall the stay was pretty good.....the only negatives is no wireless internet. you have to plug your laptop into an ethernet cable provided by the hotel so your limited to 1 spot...my boyfriend and I had to take turns using our laptops..there is however Wifi in the lobby which is backwards to me and although there is a full kitchen there R no pots and pans..we had to go buy some. there R dishes and utensils and every thing else to cook and eat with just not pots and pans

The lobby was clean, and desk staff moderately attentive. Our room was clean and though we didn't need to use the kitchenette, it was still good to have it there just in case, and the refrigerator was a must for us. We were seeking places with a separate bedroom for the kids. We were probably the only people there not going to Disneyland, but it was nice to know the shuttles travel frequently to the park. There was a basketball court and good exercise facilities. For us, the best part is the included breakfast (and light dinners labeled as "reception"). There was great variety in the buffet-style servings (love the waffles) and saved on time. We looked at other hotels in the area that we've stayed at before, but they don't include breakfast. When adding that in, this was a better value. It's especially good for long stays. We'd do it again

I loved, loved, LOVED this Hotel. It is conveniently located just 2 blocks from Disneyland and the Hotel and grounds are immaculate. We got a steal of a deal off Cheaphotels.com with a suite that included a full kitchen 2 queens and a pull-out. I have 4 children, including a 11 month old, and the Hotel provided a clean, sturdy pack-n-play style crib for her to sleep in. The pool is gorgeous and the grounds are very well kept. There is a sport court and nice stainless BBQ's for guests to use. Every morning there is a full breakfast buffet that was clean and tasty. Mon-Thurs are also FREE DINNERS! We saved a bundle on food! The housekkeping kept everything clean and orderly, and even loaded our dishes in the dishwasher. There is a great laundry on the main level with plenty of machines. I gave the service only 4 stars because one of the women working the front desk gave us wrong directions on more then one occasion and then inaccurately billed us on checkout. She was not the brightest person I have ever met. . .
It would be a great location for a family reunion. Huntington Beach is 20 minutes away.
Because of our great hotel stay, we are already planning another trip to the same area and of course we look forward to our stay at the Residence Inn. You will love it!!

Had a pleasant enough stay, but found several days after checking out a random $40 charge added to my credit card. Tried calling hotel five times to talk to a manager, left messages for Frank and never received a reply.

After three weeks I finally received a note from Frank saying "yeah, you broke a lamp" and effectively calling me a liar as he never received an e-mail or voicemail from me (when his front desk refused to give me either his number or e-mail address).

Just watch your credit card bill after you leave - and don't hold out much hope for any level of customer service after you leave.

Everyone loved the hotel with the huge breakfast and the light meal at night. Our stay was perfect. It was good to have the kids in another room so they could watch their own shows. We had enough room that we could play games on the tables sometimes.

We spent almost 3 weeks with 2 young children at Residence Inn. After travelling from Australia on a long flight, we were thrilled when we arrived at the Residence Inn. We had booked this hotel because of the kitchen facility and the daily breakfast, and all reviews were great. Everything was beyond our expectations, the room was perfect, big enough for all 4 of us in a 1 bedroom unit (2 queen beds). I liked being able to put the kids to bed and close the door while still being able to stay up. The second tv in the bedroom was also good to give a little bit of seperation from the kids and let them do there own thing in the bedroom while we relaxed in the rest of the unit. The breakfast was amazing with excellent choice, good quality food and lots of coffee! Also there is a star bucks right behind the next hotel! The pool facilities were great, I felt very safe in the resort area and often walked to the shops (Target across the road) on my own. Was also really quiet we all slept really well. Housekeeping A+++ I can't recommend Residence Inn enough. We are planning our next trip and have already booked RI again. Excellent value for money

Where to start. . . this hotel was amazing in every way! We stayed for 4 nights during our visit to Disney Land at the most magical time of year! The entire city was decorated with lights making everything so joyful! The parking lot was large and easy to use. There are temporary and smaller spaces near the hotel entrance, and further back into the single entrance lot were larger spaces for pick-up trucks. The registration processes was very quick and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful! There were bell carts available to take our mega ton of luggage up to the room which was awesome (by the way, we left with twice as much as we brought!). Downstairs across from the elevators the hotel offers a guest laundry, an arcade, and a business center with an ATM. There is a fitness center which is small, but has everything you need to get a complete workout. Outside is a nice pool area with a large pool, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub (which sadly in the cold air was not very hot!). There is also a BBQ area and a tennis court which we did not get to use. Now, to the hotel room! Our group included me, my husband, our two kids (5 and 1 1/2), and my mother, so we booked the kids suite. We were in Rm. 301 which is on the 3rd floor and all the way to the end of the hall with a view overlooking the pool. Upon opening the door we were greeted with the smell of a fresh clean room. I am VERY particular about cleanliness in a hotel (especially after all the talk on TV about bed bugs! Yuck!), and I could not find a single thing to complain about! The door opens into the kitchen area and then on into the living room area which had a TV, club chair and pull-out couch (Which we didn't use). We were surprised to find a fully stocked kitchen (sans food) with a fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The cupboards were even stocked with dishes so we didn't have to worry about paper and plastic dishes. The desk area was convenient and the internet was easy to hook up to, but rather slow. Off to the left of the main room is the pocket door into the kids room which had a bunk bed, a small table and stools, and a TV. Inside the room was the door and entrance into the kids bathroom. On the left side of the main room was the master bedroom which had a super comfy king sized bed and a large TV, a separate sink/closet area, and then another separate area (with a door) for the toilet and tub. I had trouble finding an accurate description of this hotel before we went, and I was not even positive that the two bedrooms were completely separate. They thankfully were, and each closed off with a door for privacy. The hotel offers a similar room with two single beds instead of the bunk bed, but our kids had tons of fun climbing the ladder! Anther plus to this hotel was the complimentary food! The breakfast buffet was awesome every morning and in the evenings from 5-7 they offered dinner as well! Breakfast included waffles, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, eggs, hash-browns, scrambled eggs with veggies, juice, soda, coffee, milk, cottage cheese, and fruit if I remembered everything! We only had a chance to eat the dinner once, and it was a baked potato with as many toppings as you can imagine like bacon, cheese, broccoli, olives, chives, sour cream etc. I believe that Disney is within walking distance, but this time of year and as early as we went each morning, we chose to drive (only a few minutes each way). We had bus passes, but my hubby prefers to have more control over his schedule, so that was a waste of money on my part! Oops! Overall, this hotel was exactly what we needed to relax after a long day at Disney. I would absolutely recommend it to my friends, and I can't wait until we can return!
