“Nice Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We had a two bedroom suite. Daughter loved having her own bedroom, own tv and own bathroom. Too far to walk to Disney though. Had to take shuttle. Probably pick closer hotel next time. Across the street form Target and restaurants. Good Free Breakfast Buffet. Good soundproofing.

Our family of five stayed here for a three day trip to disneyland. For the two queen and sofa bed room. We appreciated an early check in and a room with a nice view of the fireworks. Had a BBQ the first night and also dinner another night which was really nice. Great breakfasts with lots of variety. The breakfast area gets pretty crazy later in the morning, but since we wanted to get to disneyland early we only experienced that our last day. Staff was very friendly and responsive for the most part. We booked through AAA (got a good price), who had asked if we were celebrating anything which we were - our sons birthday. The hotel brought balloons and cookies to the room as a gift. A nice touch. The room was clean and it was so nice to have a kitchen to make meals in. (We brought our lunches to disneyland.) They have a nice pool and recreation area outside that our kids lives. One downside is that the hotel seemed understaffed as it was hard to keep up with all of the guests' needs. For example we asked for an extra towel several times which they said was no problem but they forgot. Another time though we asked for a room repair and they did it right away. Overall it was a very nice hotel and especially great for families with kids. We would stay there again!

We stayed at this hotel when we visited disneyland. The staff is helpful, the breakfast is good and the rooms are just right - we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite which is just about the size of a regular 2 bedroom apartment. We were 4 adults and a 3 year old and it was very comfortable.
Residence Inn offers the grocery pick up service, which is unbelievably convenient.
There is a target which is 1 minute away by car so you can stock up yourself as well.

Finally, and this is the best part about this hotel - the Anaheim Resort Transit buses stop right outside the hotel so if you are going to disneyland, you can park your car here and take the bus straight to the entrance of the park.

The 2 br 2 ba suite with bunk beds was invaluable, it made the stay so much easier. The rooms are really nice, they look just like the pictures -full kitchen with dining table, (small) living room, 2 bedrooms with in-suite baths (with plenty of shelf space), and a tv in every room. Everything seemed new and clean and in excellent condition. A good testament to that is that we walked around barefoot and the bottoms of our feet never got dirty. The beds were extremely comfortable, firm with a soft top. They provided multiple types of pillows for you to choose from.

The only inconveniences are: the air conditioner in the master br is really loud, but not a big deal at all; the soap and shampoo/conditioner are really cheap, such that I would choose to bring my own soap next time; and they are not a full-service hotel, so we had to handle our own luggage. However, they provided large luggage carts, so it was really easy.

Note to the hotel, a hook in the children's bathroom would have been nice to have.

Their service was excellent from all departments, I can't say enough about what a great job they did. The breakfast was really good, with tons of options, and they even stayed open later than stated, to accommodate everyone. The manager's happy hour was awesome - really good food, full dinner, all for free! They had a nice patio and pool, with a basketball court and Ping-Pong table for entertainment.

Note, we asked for a room where we could see the fireworks, and we were skeptical that we'd be able to see them, but you really can see them, very well. They're far enough away that the noise is not an issue. We were on the 7th floor (of 8 total floors).

I will warn you if you have small kids, the gift shop is right at the entrance, we had a hard time getting in and out of the hotel each day without stopping, which was a minor annoyance.

The only real complaint we have is the ART. The stop is right in front of the hotel approximately every 20 minutes, but we always seemed to have just missed it, so it seemed to take a very long time to get to Disneyland each morning. One morning the bus driver missed our stop and we waited for 35 minutes to catch the bus, so it took almost an hour between the time we left the hotel and when we got to Disneyland. And the driver was quite rude about it. At that point we looked into taking a cab and found out it was only $7.50, so in the future we will consider taking cabs there and back and not the bus, it would've been the same price as a 3 day bus pass. The bus ride back to the hotel seemed easier, the hotel is the first stop.

Room Tip: The 2 br 2 ba rooms are awesome with kids. And if you ask for the right room, you really can see th...

We stayed for 5 nights with kids. The daily breakfast and evening weekday dinner were very nice and convenient. While we had a car and didn't use the ART shuttle to Disneyland, there was a stop adjacent to the property. Nice rooms with full kitchen, friendly staff, convenient location. Pool, hot-tub & basketball area were also good. Will stay there again.

We are a small family with a 4 yr old son. We like to have the convenience of a full kitchen and refrigerator and microwave. It is great to have these amenities and be so close to Disney Parks. Did not use free breakfast or the pool but the rooms feel like they are newly renovated and servie staff is friendly. Great value.

I have a family of six, which can be a challenge to book hotels for. I called the property directly and was told that they had a room with two bunk beds, aka one bed for each child and a king in a separate bedroom, two bathrooms. Based specifically on that representation, we booked the room. When we arrived, there was only one bunk bed. We were informed by the desk that the room that was described to me over the phone didn't exist at their property. They moved us to a double queen with a bunk bed, enough beds to sleep everyone, but we were sharing with the kids...not the plan. The manager explained that the sleeping spaces included the pull out sofa bed, but that's not what we were sold on. Property didn't offer any other concession for the deceptive booking practices.

The room was OK, but in obvious need of some rennovation, especially in the kid's room. The furniture was beat up, bunk bed was falling apart and there was exposed wood in the bathroom. This is definitely not a luxury property and does not compare favorably to Hilton, Homewood Suites, DoubleTree or Loews properties, which I greatly prefer. Plusses included a full kitchen and a good breakfast.

There are nicer, better priced properties closer to Disney. I can chalk some of my disappointment up to buyer beware, but I won't put up with deception. YYMV, but why chance it?

Room Tip: 2 bunks does not mean two sets of bunk beds...it means two mattresses in one bunk
