“Will only stay here from now on!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2008

Just back from 3 days at Disneyland. Embassy suites was fantastic, clean, quiet and the morning breakfast was the best we've had in any of our other stays at nearby hotels. This property has three laundry facilities and prompt assistance. The only complaint was the lack of ice in the machines by Saturday. In all fairness it was 4th of July and hot!!!

Overall our stay was pleasant but not up to par for an Embassy primarily for me because of the age. But keep in mind I'm picky. It looks like it is 15 to 20 years old, low ceilings in the room and just had that old hotel feel and smell even though the bathroom was very new looking with granite c-tops and tiled shower. We could never get our room to cool off even with the AC running for 3 days and we could hear the elevator going up and down all night. The atrium was neat for the kids but kind of cheesy with fake rocks and plastic plants. A fake lion on top of the rocks looked worn and dusty. Breakfast is nice, especially the made to order omlettes but it still tasted kind of like cruise ship food and we felt like cattle standing in line. The pool was very nice but the gameroom was under construction. I also thought it was really cheap that they charged 9.95 for internet access.

  • Liked — free made-to-order omlettes
  • Disliked — charge for internet access

We stayed June 9-16 and loved the rooms. For a family of 11 WE HAD 3 ROOMS you can't beat the room set-up. Breakfast was THE BEST but I highly recommend not getting there right before it shuts down. Go to breakfast at least 30-45 minutes before they shut it down.
PS THANKS FOR A GOOD TIME

I just returned home from my 3 night stay at this hotel and I must report how enjoyable it was! The hotel parking was convenient, check-in easy, room was kept exceptionally clean. In fact, they were steam-cleaning the hallway and room carpets when I checked in, and they were steamcleaning hallways when I left. I have nothing but high praise for all the staff I encountered-all were very friendly and helpful.
Yes, Disneyland is close and families will be staying here, but the sound of children in the atrium is minimized by the waterfalls-very well thought out!
Breakfast time was ok-I planned ahead and took the advice of the hotel as to when to be downstairs for the meal.
All in all, a great stay, and I would highly recommend friends and family to stay there also.

We stayed June 13-19 and loved the rooms. For a family of 5 you can't beat the room set-up. Breakfast was good but I highly recommend not getting there right before it shuts down. Go to breakfast at least 30-45 minutes before they shut it down or you'll be in the middle of a madhouse. For those with small children, I would not recommend the shuttle. We did it for 3 of our 5 days and after that we had had enough. They pack you in each shuttle to the maximum. We always seemed to hit the stop after a shuttle had just left and had to wait out the 20 plus minutes until the next one. By the time the next shuttle arrived, people jumped up and got on without any regard to who was there first. We were at the shuttle stop first a couple of times but couldn't get a seat because people jumped in front of us. It was very hard on us with a 7, 4, and 2 year old. We ended up getting to the parks grumpy. We decided on the 4th day to bring our car and couldn't have been more surprised at how easy it was. We had free parking through AAA which was great. Parking was very convenient and easy. It was nice to have our own space and familiar car seats after an exhausting day in the parks without having to wait for a shuttle. I wouldn't take that shuttle again if it was free.

Anyway, I would stay at the Embassy Suites again especially if your group is mobile and patient! Also, they do not have in room safes and there is only ice machines on certain floors (not fun when the elevators are in full use most of the time). We did have fun though, just a couple of points.

Hotel appears relatively new. Rooms were clean and parking was free. The free breakfast was somewhat of a zoo and the quality of the food marginal at best - you get what you pay for. However, eating area was clean. Hotel is very convenient for disneyland. The city shuttle is only about a 10 minute ride to the gates of the park. The shuttle runs all day and is more convenient than driving to the park - the longest wait time experienced for the shuttle was around 10 minutes.

on the downside, the hotel's elevators are slow due to the volume of traffic and there was only 1 bellman working.

Would not recommend for any business travel - only if you are with family/children.

We had a wonderful stay at Embassy Suites. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and quiet. Reason for the visit was to go to Disneyland. We went with a 7 and 3 year old and they loved it as well. We like the Manger's Reception which was indeed welcomed after hitting rush hour traffic. We had a few drinks and the kids had sodas and some popcorn. They loved the Lion in the Atrium. The service was excellant. I requested extra blankets and pillows and they were promptly brought up and we recieved a follow-up call to ensure they were delivered. Breakfast is great. A variety to choose from. My youngest son doesn't like eggs and there were pancakes, fruit, yougurt and plenty of other things for him to choose from. I would defintely recommend this hotel to anyone and plan on staying here again.
