We stayed for a night while passing through Fresno and chose the hotel based on the location, cost, and trip advisor reviews. The Riverpark area is near freeways, and the hotel sits at the edge of a major shopping mall with restaurants, upscale shopping, and box stores (it backs to Costco) within a mile. We were pleasantly surprised by the great staff -- from chatting during the complementary happy hour to helping us find an open store (Costco, Target, Walmart) when we discovered our daughter forgot to pack her swimsuit -- they were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is what you would expect from the Comfort chain and the room was nicely appointed and clean. We had a room at the back, which was quiet. The pool is indoor and small -- great for cooling off the kids after a long car ride. The room had shutters, but not blackout shades, which would have been nice since the parking lot behind the hotel was lit up all night.
Overall, exactly what we were looking for -- a pleasant overnight with wonderful staff.
