Description: Imagine visiting your favorite San Francisco-style steakhouse. Place it in the heart of California and invite all your friends to meet you there, and you'll experience The Elbow Room. From the day the doors first opened in 1955, The Elbow Room has been serving the best steak sandwich anywhere and it's still the number one item on the menu today. The culinary team will proudly tell you they only serve the finest Harris Ranch 100% Certified Natural Black Angus Beef, and it's a difference you can taste. The Elbow Room is synonymous with the best in casual dining and is known for being the place to see and be seen. Owner Mike Shirinian says it's their artisan approach to comfort food that's the real secret to the success of the nearly 6 decade-old California icon. Enjoy premiere steaks and seafood while sampling from the Wine Spectator Award Winning wine list. Watch the best satellite sports or just hang out with friends dining on one of the year-round temperature controlled patios. Completely remodeled in 2013,The Elbow Room has both eyes on the future while retaining an important link to its historic past - where everything old is new again.

“Another "find" in Fresno”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Stumbled in to this place for dinner after closing down adjacent shops. Thoroughly enjoyed the mojito (thought it might be good since mojitos were available by the pitcher), and my friends loved their margarita and white wine sangria. The patio looked like fun, but it was closed for a private party. Calamari appetizer was good with a delicious dipping sauce, and was not overly breaded. Salads and steaks were good, but one friend had the fish and chips and was disappointed with the quality of the fish. Again, not overly breaded, but the fish was dry with little flavor. Service was excellent. The menu was varied, and there were very interesting drink selections. Think this is a place to return to and check out other dining and drink options.

“Sunday Sizzle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We often attend the Sunday Sizzle on the patio and enjoy music, dancing and $5 tall drafts, wine or a bloody mary that is made from scratch and is off the hook! The food is excellent as well. The street tacos are the bomb as is the famous Elbow Room steak sandwich.

“Fine dining in Fresno”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Pulled into the best western late and asked for a recommendation of some where nice to eat that wash,t a chain. Rand and got the free shuttle bus to the elbow room bar and grill. They established our smoking or nonsmoking requirements. Jery thedriverand owners brother shoutedusanappertiser of artichoke heart and bacon on a crisp bread. We both had the lamb medallions which came with perfect veggies and polenta. The jus was excellent with a lovely hint of mint. The wine list is extensive and we enjoyed several bottles of aged napa alley starmont.
Excellent service and superb food.
