Stayed in Fresno for a meeting in June 2008. This hotel is perfect for the business traveller. It is right off the highway, but far enough so that there is minimal highway noise. The rooms are large and comfortable with complimentary internet. There are also complimentary snacks and breakfast.

The bed is comfortable and, given that it is Fresno, the A/C worked great.

The fitness center is small (couple of treadmills, a stairmaster, and few free weights), but there is a nice pool and jacuzzi in the central courtyard.

Service is perfect. Unassuming yet thorough.

Would definitely stay here again if travelling on business to Fresno.

I frequently travel to North Fresno for business and athletic competitions at the Clovis West pool. Over the years I have stayed at most of the few hotels in the area (although they are building many more), and I always come back to the Courtyard on Shaw. Why? Well, it is a Courtyard so in addition to Marriott points I know what I am going to get: a clean room of above average size, a solid buffet breakfast for a good price (and, on some occasions, even free), free newspapers, coffee and tea in the lobby lounge area, free parking, free wireless, and friendly service.

The downsides to this hotel are that although it is just off the freeway the driveway is easy to miss and it is a bear to make a left turn to get back on to the freeway. Also, there are few acceptable restaurants nearby. I've learned to drive down to Trader Joe's and get one of their prepackaged salads for dinner: less expensive and healthier.

Large clean room. Clean bathroom. Friendly service. Great pool. Clean laundry room. Good Internet. Would stay again.

I had a meeting in Fresno, and this hotel was exactly as expected.

As I stay in Courtyards somewhat frequently, this room was just as I expected. The staff was friendly and the property well maintained.

Two wishes:
1. Wired 10mb internet access? Come on, I have better at home with wireless.
2. Televisions should be updated. See Hyatt Place hotels for better style and more modern amenities.

That being said, with the limited options in Fresno, this was a good stay all around.
