“A Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

Great location for the event we were in town for. Although the hotel is older, the rooms are still well maintained and clean. Housekeepers are the rock stars of that hotel! There was construction going on and the noise only bothered us one out of the three mornings we were there. We were told at check in about the construction, so the noise was expected. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. The onside restaurant was very good and priced well for a hotel. Bar staff were friendly. I only wish the gift shop was open while were there. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay!

Rooms aren't to bad. RESTAURANT Really sux, especially breakfast buffet with swarms of fruit flys. Took 20 minutes to get served with only 1 other table in there that was occupied. Girls to busy at cash register talking and on cell phones. They seen me there but ignored me. Tryed a second night and at bar was good and service but meal out of restaurant was horrible. Ordered steak and sent back twice. Once over cooked and one under cooked and both could not cut with a knife. They seemed not to care to much. Nasty.

I came here on business and only stayed one evening - I arrived late and left early. So please take that into consideration. The hotel itself is located "downtown" but I didn't see anything within walking distance, and I certainly wouldn't walk around Fresno alone at night! I checked in and was given a suite, which was large, but outdated and impersonal. The restaurant in the hotel is really something else. I have rarely encountered worse food - it took forever and was barely edible. The bar itself was covered in italian dressing and the bartender really couldn't have figured out anything on his own unless directly instructed or asked. I drove by several other hotels on the way to the airport, which while nothing fancy or special, I think would provide a cleaner, quieter, more modern option.

Purchased through Expedia but was not told that we would have to listen to concrete saws and chippers for 9:00 Am until 6:00 PM. The pool area needs a lot of attention. The concrete is chipped around the spa and pool and looks really bad. This is an ongoing project that should last another couple of months. The staff was wonderful and tried to accommodate us, but the hotel was sold out and they couldn't move our rooms.

Room Tip: Wait until they finish the construction work

Thank you for your patience as we move through our upgrades and renovations. We do try to keep as much as possible away from our guests and during the hours of lowest disturbance. Thank you for acknowledging our incredible service team here at the Fresno Hotel and Conference Center.

This hotel is downtown, very near to the minor league baseball stadium. The lobby has signs about the pending switch to Doubletree (early 2015). In the meantime, the room was very nice, and we had an excellent breakfast buffet. Not sure how Doubletree will improve this hotel- it is already solid.

Checked in on one of the hottest recorded days ever. Visiting Fresno for the first time. Irritable over the heat topping out at 106. I was absolutely excited the hotel had a company van with AC immediately there as I stepped off the Amtrak. Greeted by the front desk Ky was very professional with advice on lunch choices. Great experience. Headed over to the lobby bar and had the best lunch and hospitality from a true professional Stefanie " cocktail waitress / bartender. Great conversation and local referrals. extremely bright with world travel and history making the lunch an amazing experience. Hard to find great employee's who are passionate about their work and loyal to their company. Service from the restaurant was superior with Marlene and Daniel prompt with food hot. I spend most of my time between Vegas Miami and Hawaii throwing some of the elite poolside parties worldwide and would give to have these professionals representing my company.

Room Tip: go online and book good ac and clean rooms

So far the best in this area
Stay only one night , in our trip from vegas to sanfrancisco , the breakfast has a limited menu , but I Love the free wifi in our room , the room is clean and big , outside the hotel have nothing , for transit a long trip , this is the best hotel in fresno i guess....
Advice : prepare your food, cigarette, beer, etc no minimarket near here ,or close early i guess
