The old Radisson Hotel is now the Fresno Hotel, but changing to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. (The old Holiday Inn is now the new Radisson Hotel, yes, confusing). Renovations to this hotel has been in progress for about a year and should be finished by January 16th (I was told). I was just there on business and lots of work going on to get it up to DoubleTree standards, they were even working on Sunday. Rooms are better furnished, and the hotel has a better feel to it. I've been staying here for business for many years and have seen the decline of a once very nice hotel, but now with the change in ownership, things are looking up. It's still in a poor neighborhood, but that's where the Fresno Conference Center is located along with the Saroyan Theater. Still a lot to do on site. Let's see what happens over time.

My recommendaton- Close the hotel. Raze the building. Start all over again. Horrible experience in a dump of a hotel that has the deep stench of urine outside and even inside. Fresno doesn't have much in the way of hotels but this one is the pits. Opt for a Holiday Inn or even a La Quinta. Can't be any worse than this place.

I have stayed at this property a few times during my business trips to Fresno. I find it to be conveniently located, yet away from some of the nuisance that bothers me when I stay closer to Van Ness. The place is clean, comfortable and has the basic amenities and facilities.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. It is a nice place to stay and only a couple of blocks down the street from the Selland Arena. The hotel is nice, clearn, safe and the staff is very friendly. This was previously a different named hotel and now it's the Radisson. Nice place overall.

I read reviews after I booked and was truly concerned about safety. We arrived Sat nite, and being in a unknown city wasn't quite sure what to expect. Yes they do have underground parking, seems fairly secure but seems to share with the neighboring businesses including the casino which is adjacent. No problems there but I was looking over my shoulder to make sure no one was going to jump me. Check in was great. Staff there were super friendly. That's prob the best thing about this place. The hotel is decent but definitely dated. Walls and floors are thin so I think you can hear everything above and next to you. Bathroom is everything you need, water pressure is low but in a drought is prob expected to use low flow. We did the breakfast package - well worth the 10 dollars extra in my opinion. Left the next day. Staff great, hotel okay.
