I have stayed in the area several times over the past year. But the hotel I prefer is the Holiday Inn Express in Fremont. I have also read the other reviews and find them very one sided. Yes there is a train crossing nearby from the NUMI plant, but the Hotel has upgraded most of the rooms with insulated windows that cut 98% of the outside noise. They are also upgrading rooms with new carpet and other amenities. The management and staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, safe and secure. I really enjoy coming back. I have stayed at other HIE and full service Holiday Inns as well and this one surpasses them all.

I am staying at this hotel as I type. The complimentary ear plugs should've given away that there was something sorely amiss here.

The trains, the non stop trains...... It's incredible that someone would think to build a hotel virtually next to a railroad.....

I am booked in here for 3 nights as I am working in the area. I have already emailed my company's travel agent to get my out of here ASAP tomorrow morning. I have a strange feeling I will get virtually no sleep tonight....

Do yourself a huge favor, AVOID AT ALL COSTS (unless you're hard of hearing!)

What they do not tell you is the construction going on and the construction guys hanging out in the parking lot.

The trains from the NUMMI plant going off with the whistles at all hours of the night and day.

Oh yeah and as a bonus the room next too mine had people coming in and out and from the sounds of it they were having a great business.

What nobody herd the noise of trains going by ever 2 hours sounding its horn or the Freeway going by, I booked in for 16 nights and stayed one. Tried 2 different rooms no double glazing in the rooms, which was a shame because the Staff and rooms are great. I traveled here from the UK and had about 2 hours sleep between trains. I would recommend that if you stay her take your ear plugs or check to see if they have upgraded their windows to stop the noise.
