My wife and I first came to the Beach House a few weeks after they opened for business and have been coming back since. Sure, sometimes we decide to stay at a place with an ocean view but that is all this place lacks and it makes up for it in so many other ways.

It is always clean and the rooms are beautiful, open spaces to enter. They are down-right inviting! The beds are comfortable. Most rooms have views overlooking the Pudding Creek Estuary--not as grand as looking at the ocean but great for watching wildlife and listening to the birds and frogs as you drift to sleep at night. It is wonderful to sit out in the evening for awhile on the room's deck overlooking the creek and just chill (in more than one way if the fog comes in--bring jackets!)

The buildings are well maintained. They are also built well: We have never had problems with noise from adjacent rooms.

The cleaning staff is efficient and quiet in their work. They are friendly and willing to help you. They do a wonderful job of cleaning and preparing a room.

In short, this Inn is worth the price they charge. It is much more than just "comfortable" and it will certainly help to make your stay in Fort Bragg a great experience.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the Estuary if possible! A fireplace is a great extra as evenings in Fort Br...

Due to poor planning on our part (not booking hotel on coast in advance) we were left with few options. We stayed a Saturday night in late March. The bed was comfortable and the gas fireplace was nice, hut the bathroom had hairs on the floor and in the tub. The partial ocean view was really a view over hwy 101. The staff was very nice and the common area hallway was clean. This plade just needs a little updating and more attention to detail with housekeeping.

Room Tip: Rooms facing inlet are quieter.

Thank you nicinutah, for taking to the time to give us a review! We really appreciate when guests share their thoughts and experiences. I'm so glad you enjoyed our new mattresses but I'm sorry to hear about the housekeeping oversight. I can assure you that it was a one-time slip up and our housekeeping staff are normally very thorough and attentive to detail. It's true that we are located on the other side of Highway 1 from the ocean, but we are right on the Pudding Creek estuary which provides lovely and tranquil views. Also, we are currently in the process of updating the decor and amenities, so stay tuned! We hope we will get to welcome you back sometime soon!

The old owners were great. They had breakfast in the weekend mornings and even when we checked in on Friday there was a sign stating that there was breakfast on the weekends. Well on Saturday morning we went to the lobby and the sign was gone and the host told us to go to to the beachcomber for breakfast, so we did and there were about 30 people in the small lobby of the beachcomber and the breakfast was slim pickings. I hope the new owners can step up their game and make this hotel just as good as it use to be. I would say if you need a pet friendly hotel go to holiday inn.

Thank you so much Jhartman1648 for taking the time to give your feedback. Customer input is extremely helpful to us. It sounds like your stay coincided exactly with the ownership change as well as a big regional soccer tournament, which accounted for the discontinuity about breakfast and the above-average number of people in the lobby. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your stay, but I hope that you will give us another chance on your next Fort Bragg visit to let us show you that we are dedicated to maintaining a quality inn worthy of your return visits

This is a your basic motel near Fort Bragg. It is just outside of town on an estuary so don't let the photos lead you to think it is near the ocean. We stayed in a king room with a soaker tub. The set up was a bit strange with the big tub just in the room where a second bed would normally be. Don't know that we would stay here again, but I can understand why some ppl would return -- it might be what they were looking for with the balcony and the separate units and the quick drive into Fort Bragg.

The hosts are friendly. The place is quiet. There is no food on site. A breakfast of sorts is provided in the morning. It all seemed a bit overpriced, but an okay experience overall.

Room Tip: Our unit (100) had a sticky lock which was a bother.

WE HAVE STAYED AT VARIOUS PLACES OVER THE YEARS BUT OUR FAVORITE IS THE BEACH HOUSE INN. It isn't the fanciest but it is clean, relaxing and dog friendly. The owner, operator is friendly and helpful, but he is retiring. I hope the new owners don't ruin it. We love the estuary, but don't forget your binoculars or you will miss a lot of the action. We were there for 3 nights in September and had a great time.

Room Tip: We have always stayed in the 200 bldg, 2 queens, and have always been pleased.

The Beach House in is on an estuary that promised all kinds of wildlife. It was a pretty view, but we mainly saw ducks and geese.
The room was pretty spacious and had a soaking tub-- nice, but no jets.
They charged us at the beginning instead of at the end, which I never like. What if I hate and we want out of the 2nd and 3rd nights?
The front desk wasn't real helpful; they act like you should already know basic things about the area. There was no helpful info on the area in the room; I had to search my phone to find good places to eat.
We liked having a balcony overlooking the estuary and the ocean across the street. And the friendly black cat who came around and looked up at us daily.
