Attractive property across the road from the ocean/beach, offering a variety of room configurations in separate 2 story buildings. No elevator. We were walk-ins and picked a double queen room with estuary view from small balcony for $99 (mid-week special, reg. $139). The room and bathroom were large. But, the kitchen was IN THE BATHROOM. I've never seen this before: mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker were inside the bathroom. Hmmm. The TV was OK, not HD, using cable. Free WiFi worked fine.

It was clean, the bed was sort of soft, the heating worked well. Continental breakfast is only on week-ends, so get some OJ from the market to get started before heading out for breakfast.

Check in was quick, and the manager tried to steer us to an Italian restaurant for dinner, but we had planned on going into Mendocino. No tourist info in the room. The weather was dreary, drizzly, so we didn't use the balcony or go over to the beach. The property is at the North end of town, but it is an easy drive/walk to town for shopping, eating, etc.

This property was fine for one night. With nicer weather, the location and water views could be quite nice. I would give it 3+, if I could.

My 70-year old mother comes to visit us regularly here on the Mendocino Coast, and she's stayed at lots of places around Fort Bragg and she said this is the best place she's stayed at. Conveniently located near the beach, just north of town. Nice rooms, and the have a BBQ if you are in the area for fishing or diving so you can cook your catch. Very reasonably priced, especially compared to some of the BnBs in the area. Rooms have a balcony overlooking Pudding Creek, and the beach is right across the street.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Beach House. We had a king size bed with soaking tub which I filled full of bubbles :) great place to relax after a day of beach combing. Enjoyed the sunsets and sunrises from the balcony. While we didn't have an ocean view we didn't miss the people walking the trails and looking in on us when we stayed at the Hotels across the Hwy that face the ocean. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely be staying here again.

The manager was great. She had such a great sense of humor, which you don't always find any more. We had two rooms side by side. We had rooms overlooking the estuary however the tide was out and there were no birds visiting--not even a coot! We would return and would love to see the estuary full of birds to enjoy.
