We always book a queen with jacuzzi tub for around $100. Its a value you can't beat! You can walk along the cliffs, play frisbee golf or mini-golf and to a local shopping center. We drove into the main part of town. It is a quiet location, rooms are very clean and comfortable. The tubs are not very big, they are heart shaped. For us, we fit comfortably but husband is not very tall or wide. The breakfast is just cereal, pastry/bagel and hot tea or coffee. It's ok but is even better if you get fruit to go with it from local market.

My wife and I stayed here with our dog during the off season. The inn is very convenient to downtown Fort Bragg and several of the attractions in the area, especially the off-leash dog beach. Our room was clean and comfortable, facing the south side of the property (this is important as it is near the south field which doubled as the canine bathroom).

There is a mini-golf course & arcade right on the property (we did not take advantage of this during our stay). And a down a side street (Ocean View Dr.) is, well, a cliff view of the ocean. The property also gave us two free passes to the Botanical Gardens.

One thing prevents me from giving this place 5 points. Considering it's dog-friendly, a hand-held shower head, or an outdoor hose would have been really helpful (our dog got pretty dirty at the beach and washing her was difficult).

We recently made an unscheduled stop in Ft Bragg on our way back to Los angeles, so checked into the Emerald Dolphin. It was a fantastic little find! The room was comfortable and well appointed. We were there out of season so paid very little money, and in fact even on the rest of the trip paid more than double for other rooms that were no way as nice as this find. It is a short walk from a very nice restaurant, and on a good day the town is not far, although we were caught in a storm so drove into the centre for supper. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good room in a very pretty location.

I recently stayed at the Emerald Dolphin Inn in Fort Bragg, CA for three nights and greatly enjoyed my stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the owner Kim Queen. She assisted us on a couple occasions and provided great service. The room (spa suite) was very clean and comfortable. The spa was a great addition and the bed was very comfortable. We were in the annex building across from the lobby of the hotel. This provided us with a very quiet stay, we didn’t hear our neighbors or the highway once. The continental breakfast is a typical one, providing cereal, pastries, juice and coffee. Not a gourmet meal, but all we needed to start off the day. :) I would definitely recommend staying at the Emerald Dolphin Inn and I would stay here again!
