“We had a Great Stay. So glad we ended up here.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2008

All the hotels were booked in Fort Bragg due to all the fires going on. But we managed to get a room here. So glad we did. Great room, Great Staff and Good price. We paid a little extra to get a room with a view of Noyo Harbor. It was so nice to sit on the balcony in the A.M. and watch all the fishing boats leave the harbor. The hotel itself was very calm and quiet. The rooms were big, the beds were really comfy (plush and soft) The bed comfortors were nice, not the usuall scratchy 70's looking ones. My only complaint was that the pillow case was a bit scratchy (low thread count). If I stayed again I would bing my own pillow case. The staff was polite and helpfull. Continentel Breakfast was muffins, danish, waffels, toast, oj, coffee and tea. Which is better than the rest. The lobby was clean, warm and well decorated. Nothing tacky like other hotels. The hotel is located in a central location. Close to all the good stuff. Would stay here again foooooooor suuuureeee!

My wife and I stayed at Harbor Lite Friday night through Sunday morn, July 13th thru 15th. I booked a non-smoking king bed the Thursday before for $99 a night after finding two spots open through their website. I was impressed by the other reviews for this place. We arrived about five o'clock Friday evening and was greeted by a very friendly staff member. She asked if I had a AAA discount card but I replied that I did not. I then mentioned that I was a Federal employee and she smiled and said . " that qualifies for a 10 percent discount!". Sweet! Our room was clean and well maintained. It had a private balcony with a view of just the town. That was ok since we were not there for the view. We went to the beaches for that and it was great!!!! They offer a continental breakfast consisting of waffles, pastries, cold cereal, coffee and orange juice. Not bad! The lodge was very quiet at night, no kids screaming, no drunks cussing, no street noise and you really had to listen to hear the fog horn! was a perfect getaway for my wife and I !!!! And it was full !!!! I think we were the last to check in. It is situated in the middle of all of the sites to see. Perfect spot! Stay there, you won't regret it !!!

  • Liked — It was spotless and well maintained. It was quiet at night and even during the day. Close to everything in Fort Bragg and Mendocino.
  • Disliked — nothing!

Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Nice view of the harbor from the balcony. Noise from the nearby highway bridge is a little annoying when sitting on the balcony, but at night the highway quiets down pretty well.

Good restaurants nearby on the waterfront.

The continental breakfast was not as robutst as most motels' breakfast offerings, but satisfactory. Two full breakfast restaurants are within walking distance.

We stayed at here on a Friday night for my birthday weekend. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a harbor view. I really liked the room. It was huge with vaulted ceilings and a large king size bed that was a feathertop bed (very comfortable) too bad the pillows were a little stiff. It also had a wood burning stove that we lit (they give all the supplies for a fire) which added a real cabin feel! The view of the harbor was nice and you could also see partial ocean view too. The balcony was spacious with nice chairs. You can access the internet by using dial up only. The only complaint I have about our night there is the walls were way too thin and when our neighbors came in at 1 am needless to say they wanted to continue their party for another few hours. Would I stay here again...Yes (I would chance it again because the room was really nice)!

  • Liked — The bed!
  • Disliked — Thin walls....you can really hear your neighbors

We stayed over the Labor Day weekend, and were pleased by the town and activities, as well as the motel. We got the Economy King room, overall pretty average room, somewhat 1980's decor, but clean and well-
maintained. We loved our balcony, the room was spacious, and the furniture was basic but comfortable. The free continental breakfast was nice, homemade waffles were good, also had basic cereal and toast, fruit, coffee, juices, etc. Overall, liked the location within town, but needed to drive to most places, because walking along the highway didn't seem safe. There is a winding downhill road from back of this hotel to the Noyo Harbor ok for daytime, but not for nighttime walking. "Silver's at the Wharf" restaurant down at Noyo Harbor has fabulous food, and good lounge bar area, definitely recommend going there your first night.

We opted for the view - which was very nice - but not sure it was worth the extra $45 to get it.

This is an older property, but unlike others we stayed at - you do get the feeling that the owners are attempting to update things a little at a time. The mattress in our room seemed quite new, for instance.

The place was clean and nice. Very comfortable.

Breakfast could use some sliced fruit or something - but other than that - no complaints.
