I had read a favorable review about the Farmhouse Inn and was very excited to enjoy a wonderful romantic dinner with my husband. However, our experience was beyond dissapointing. The restaurant was very warm. The windows were open, and the air was not working properly during an 85 degree day. The service was intrusive. Within one hour, we were visited at our table ELEVEN times by four different service providers. As soon as we began a conversation, there was another interruption. The wine was uninspiring and overpriced, which was unbelievable given we were in the middle of wine country! Our food was good, even above average, but again the prices were ridiculous. When food and wine are priced so high, it becomes nearly impossible to meet expectations. We had equally good meals, at reasonable prices, from restaurants with better ambiance during our week long trip to the Russian River area.
