“slow river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

It was a great day with my husband. They weren't kidding when they said the water moves slowly. There was no floating down that river. Had to paddle the whole way. Good teamwork for both of us. The bus ride homewas great and very vintage. Totally worth the price and more.

“Canoeing great but loud campers horribly controlled”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012 via mobile

Not recommended for families with children. No control over loud college party going campers. Didn't stop with the bongo drums til 4 AM. Two nights in a row even after Burkes talked to the group. Burkes did refund our money and sincerely felt bad for us night sleeping, but we'll never stay there again.

“Great way to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012 via mobile

We hired the canoe for a gentle day out although it's a 10 mile paddle it is very relaxing, until your partner tosses her paddle overboard, gets you beached on a submerged tree and decides at the end that she wanted t stop along the way and swim in the 'wild'. Seriously though it was a great day out, the lady who took our booking was very friendly, oh please note cash only, and wascalso driving the bus that picks up every 30 minutes so not long to wait. We saw a variety of wildlife on the way from Herons to Turtles. We did get ourselves off the tree with some precarious balancing and recovered the paddle and even enjoyed a swim albeit after the trip, at Sunset Beach, just a few miles up the road. Be aware that there are many private beaches and the public ones can get busy s consider stopping off earlier in the journey for more secluded areas.

What a beautiful way to spend a day in the Sonoma valley.
The river is beautiful.
They have everything you might need. Coolers, ice, clean bathrooms.
It was absolutely beautiful!

“Most beautiful workout!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011 via mobile

We had an amazing time! The wildlife, the scenery, cruising down the river, it was all so beautiful and relaxing. But don't forget you have to paddle down the river for 10 miles before you reach the bus to take you back to your car, so be ready for the workout!
