The mariachi show is simply terrific. With a front line of seven violins and most of the musicians also singing, solo and in chorus, it is spectacular. The cavernous room is separated into several areas: a bar area with table seating on high stools, a conventional dining room with tables and booths, and a Las Vegas style show seating at long tables in front of the stage area. Three of us ate there on a weekend night and the place was packed, particularly including large Mexican-American family groups celebrating anniversaries and birthdays. In fact, the commentary from the MC was in Spanish. While traditional, the food was not especially memorable and we were obviously paying for the entertainment at maybe two times the pricing of more regular Mexican cuisine. We were fortunate to be seated at a booth to the side of the show seating and had a direct view of the stage, which would not have been the case if we had been seated further back towards the front entrance in that part of the dining room and bar areas. The service was pretty good and, as we discovered, their ‘strong’ house special margarita packs a punch more than most. It was good we had a dedicated driver! We would go again, but for the show and ambiance – not the food.
