“Beals Point Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Beals point is a nice recreation area for kayaking, playing in the water, bbq on the grass. It is $12 to drive a car in, but if you are just going with minimal stuff you can walk in for free.

“good all-around summer beach park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

this park sits out on a penninsula, so there are beaches on all three sides of the parking lot. The north beach is the sandiest and has life guards, while the other two sides are natural decomposed granite and require a little hiking, but feel less structured. The north beach also faces into a little bay and is shallow quite a ways out, so the water there is usually pretty warm, nice for swimming. There is a concession stand, but I've never eaten there. overall, very good for family visits to the lake. Plus its a state park, so its clean and well run.
