“Wild turkey, horses on the beach, beautiful sails on the lake, awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Actually owned a business in Granite Bay. Before starting my day, I would stop by the equestrian center, sipped my Starbucks while feeding an apple to a horse and then picnic at lunch at a beach. It raised its fees to $10 a day because California State is broke.

“Definitely To Visit, But not so well Maintained !!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

It's one of the finest State Recreation area but they charge a lot for parking but ion the other hand t's not as maintained as other parks in other states like MN, NY, MA, RI as such. Not sure where does the money go...?

But It's natural and it's the beauty of it. 100% one should visit it.

“Beals Point”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

A great family place to go have some fun in the sun. I am partial to Beals Point because I worked out there as a teenager in the snack back which is now fully owned and operated by a very nice family

“Fast & easy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

I love taking my kids to the beach here. I just wish I had more time this year. I have been going here for over 20 years & it's one of my favorite spots to hang out.

“Great views and warm water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

We have been enjoying Folsom Lake for years. The water is warm enough to swim in. Both forks offer a spot to tie up to other boats or anchor. Float casually in the no wake zone. Gas and snacks at the Marina make your day last from early sun to sundown. floating toilet - the SS relief - will also allow you to stay on the lake longer. Please wear a vest and keep your people safe. Oh and don't get even within spitting distance of the nets/buoys near the dam - alarms will go off (as I did find out). It is a post 9-11 safety feature. You can still get awesome views of the Dam.
