The Tenaya Lodge is a very nice place with a great setting. It is close to the entrance to Yosemite National Park and the Mariposa Grove, but at least 45 minutes from the Valley (far longer in summer when you will probably be stuck behind multiple RVs on the winding road). It has very nice rooms and good service. There are a lot of amenities on site, including several very good restaurants. We ate the the Sierra one night. The food was excellent, but very pricey. Our main complaint is the price for the rooms. We were quoted a very reasonable price, but when we checked in, we were informed about a $15 per night "resort fee." If that price had been included upfront, I would still have booked the rooms since it was still reasonable. However, quoting us one price and then tacking on this fee is deceptive and sneaky. It is probably becoming very prevalent, but I will avoid resorts that follow this practice.
