70$ for a clean room, nice swiming pool, ice machine, lcd, double bed. After similar quality for 200$ in Grand Canyon we are very happy. Nice town with pizza and msny more restaurants with no crowd at all. Like it. Near Visalia.

I really loved staying at this quiet little family-run motel. The room was very clean and I felt safe. As a single woman traveling by herself, it is important to feel comfortable and safe in your surroundings, and this place fit the bill. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Room Tip: I stayed in a room that was in the center of the complex and it was quiet.

great price, ultra clean and walk to downtown. Exeter is what america used to be, and this place reminds me of that. why pay more for less, let's hear it for family owned motels. great place to ride from, great area. good antique pricing, we travel a lot and this is a great place for the money

Nothing special, but a great place to spend the night, get a good shower, good nights sleep, and not have any surprising events. The train is a bit loud, but isn't very active at night, so it raelly didn't matter.

Fine place to stay, great value.

Exeter is a really nice teensy downtown, too, with lots of nice places to eat, and a good walking business district.

Not many places to stay here. This one was cheaper. Didn't expect much. Found a clean, roomy room. Quiet and off a quiet street. Manager went out of her way to help us as we were there due to car trouble. Definitely recommended!

Room Tip: our a.c. took a while to cool the room - might want to check a.c. first.

Clean enough rooms. Bathroom was small. My wife and I couldn't both fit in there at the same time. The shower was slightly dingy but not scary. The shower head was more like a jet stream. The bed was comfy. If your looking for a decent 1 night stay it's probably a good fit. If your looking for a nice place to stay on vacation... Keep looking. It does the job and is overall clean. The lady up front couldn't find me any shampoo when I told her our room didn't have any. She rummaged through a couple drawers in the desk up front though before she said she didn't have any so an A for effort I guess. I'd give it an overall "meh". Good value overall, just don't stay here if you are looking for a really nice place to stay on vacation.

If you need a room close to Sequoia National Park, it’s hard to beat the Kaweah Motel in Exeter. Traditional 50’s era motel, vintage bathroom tile, outdoor pool, but very well maintained with nice recent updates like microwaves and mini fridges. Great people (recycle, have adopted a local stretch of highway), everything in the rooms work (strong, hot showers/individual A/C units/ good showers/TVs with HBO). Walking distance to stores and restaurants in Exeter, a very vibrant community with several good dining options. I own an orange grove nearby, and stay here often – because I prefer it to the other choices nearby. Stay at the Kaweah in Exeter and experience a bit of vanishing Americana. Take a break from the chains!
