We booked a room here that was supposedly of the best type they had, the larger size with two queen beds, etc. and the rate was over $100.
The first low point was the front desk, where we waited (late at night after a long drive) for half an hour while an incompetent and not particularly courteous clerk tried to get confirmation of our reservation from the Red Lion 800 line via fax. (It was unclear why telephone cofirmation wasn't good enough, especially since the hotel wasn't full.) Meanwhile, loud lounge music and unpleasant people poured from the bar directly adjacent to the lobby and the clerk complained to another passing employee about how they were out of towels as well as people to service the rooms. The room was very dark and rather dank, on the "garden" level, and one had to drag one's luggage there up an elevator, down a long hall, down another elevator, and down another hall. The decor was old and shabby and there were no coverings at all on the box springs. The room (nonsmoking) was cold, but if we turned the heat on we'd get blasted with smoky air. Also, behind the drapes, the french door was unlocked and opened to the street level parking lot.
