I would rank this restaurant as a solid GOOD, but there is no option for just "good", only average, which this restaurant's food is not; it is good, not average.
We visit at a minimum twice a year and the food is consistent. Like most places, sometimes it is phenom and other times ho-hum. Probably depends on your circumstances.
The wait staff is usually upbeat and accommodating with some wait time from the lounge, but nothing outrageous - yet.
We are witness to several changes this restaurant has gone through, but it primarily remains tried and true to the local "Brig" culture - good quality food, at a reasonable price, in a nice atmosphere, with knowledgeable staff and decent ambience. It has been a mainstay in this city for years, and remains a keeper. There are Brigantine restaurants in several cities in San Diego county.
