“Waiter John”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Food is absolutely excellent. But watch out for waiter John if he is in a mood!
He becomes extremely impolite & inappropriate to customers. He will also try to
intimidate others by saying that he can have anyone banned from coming
to the cafe because he is "IN" with the owners. He says, they will believe his side of the story.
Very SAD!

His air of confidence in the face of his own rudeness is truely unbelievable.

STAY clear of this waiter / bouncer guy, And you may enjoy what Swami's cafe has to offer.
ALL other staff members are super wonderful! And I must trust that the owners are professional & fair if customers do complain about this unprofessional waiter! He really should replaced.

“Too many good menu items”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

My only lament about Swami's Cafe is that too many things look too appealing each time I visit! You just cannot go wrong with their Acai bowl or any of their custom blended smoothies. It's nearly always very very busy, but I've always been able to find a seat. Parking isn't so easy, but maybe another reviewer has solved that issue. Be sure to check out the SRF Gardens across the street and their bookstore. CRAZY SRF good incense and great prices.

Great food. Huge portions. Sit outside with the locals. Order at the counter and food is brought out to you. Perfect place to eat at the beach!

“Delicious Stop at Swami's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

My boyfriend and I took a motorcycle trip along the PHC and stopped at Swami's (a local recommended it) for breakfast. It was even better than we had imagined. Fresh squeezed juices, organic everything and wonderful prices! Check out the post on our blog to read more!

“Best Local "Real Food" Cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

If you want to experience the real vibe of this area - you must have breakfast or lunch at Swamis.
It is a real locals place! The food is real down to earth - pan fried potatoes, scrambled eggs & omelettes, sandwiches, salads, pancakes, waffles French toast, burritos, wraps. My favorite is the tofu stir fry. Also try the 'Swamis favorites'. Nothing fancy here, but a nice place to eat outside in the sunshine (umbrellas supplied for those who need shade). Make sure to walk across hwy 101 to the Swamis self-realization center's botanical garden on the ocean - it is spectacular - free entry, but donations requested (well worth it).
