My husband and I stayed here while visting our daughter in Oakland. It is convenient to the freeways, and other parts of the Oakland area. The room was spacious, clean and quiet even though it is next to the train station. The breakfast was wonderful - lots of choices, good quality, nice room for eating. If interested, there are lots of shops in the area. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for a night when visiting UC Berkeley for a meeting. I arrived the hotel by car, and they have a large car park where you can park for free. I had a one-bedroom suite. The room was quite spacious, and everything was clean. Bathroom was also ok, both the room and the hallway feels a bit dated, and could need some refurbishing. My room was facing the railroad station, and it can be a little noisy in the morning, but that did not bother me.
There was also a free breakfast buffet in the morning, where the food was "so-so". Internet was also free (and slow). Overall it was a quite ok business hotel for a couple of nights, would probably come back if I am visiting he area again.

We stayed here 4 days while visiting family in the Bay Area. The location was perfect. It was right at the "crossroads" of Hwy 80, 580 and 880. It is a very busy area but convenient. It was near 2 nice shopping and eating areas that you can walk to. There were 5 of us, 2 parents and 3 "kids" aged 18, 20 and 21. We had a one bedroom with 2 double beds and sitting area that had a pull-out sofa. It was a little tight but everyone seemed comfortable. We requested more towels, pillows and blankets and received them very fast. We had a room that faced the train station. It woke us up a couple of times but the trains usually sounded their once or twice and that was it. I didn't think it was that bad but I would probably request a room on the bay side next time. Parking was free and plentiful which was nice. Breakfast was better than I thought it would be...several hot items. Front desk was friendly and always greeted us when we came in. Overall a nice stay and we would stay here again.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and accomodating. The rooms are suites with lots of room, clean and quiet. The included hot breakfast is very good. The location affords easy acess to the Bay Street shopping district, the Bay Bridge and other freeways, as well as the Emeryville station for Amtrak. This is a very comfortable hotel and a good value.
