Hats off to Doubletree!! I've stayed in several hotels near the LAX airport and this one was by far the greatest!! (Some have turned out to be very shady...) I got a deal on Priceline for $89/night and it was definitely worth it-- comfy beds, great spacious room, and they didn't even charge me for parking! I will definitely be staying here again in the future. Thanks, Doubletree!

My wife and I stayed at The Doubletree several times when I was interviewing for jobs in Los Angeles. What a great hotel!

First of all, the weekends rates are the best value you will find in all of Los Angeles. Just incredible.

Service is first rate.

Beds are amazing -- just like the "Dream Beds" from Westin.

The hotel is very quiet at night, as it is located in a business district of El Segundo that is literally empty at night.

Rental car is a must, as you will need one to get to the various tourist attractions in LA.

Hotel restaurant has decent food...but slow (although very friendly!) service.

We highly recommend this hotel to those who are visiting Los Angeles and don't mind renting a car and driving to their favorite attractions.

After reading reviews for hotels near LAX, chose the DoubleTree and we were not disappointed. We arrived late and didn't have to wait long for the hotel shuttle. The driver even searched for us after I failed to tell them we were at the Int'l Terminal! The check in was quick and gentleman at the front desk very pleasant. We were given warm chocolate chip cookies --a perfect ending to a long day, with hot tea in our room. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well! The cooked-to-order, reasonably priced breakfast was delicious. All this for a very reasonalble AARP rate of $89! Would not hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel reseption was very helpful and there was always someone about to help or give advice. Free internet use downstairs by reseption - there was only two pc's but they where always avalible to use. The hotel was mainly for people on busness so it was quite and nice (no children running around - if fact i dont think i saw any children in the whole week we was there)! The pool was big and there was hardly ever anyone around it - this was a bonus for us as our friends where staying at a hotel in stanta monica with no pool, so we all spent somedays around our pool - the hotel staff where fine with this. The spa was fantasic and again hardly anyone ever used it! The room was big, tidy, clean and comfortable. The bed was to die for - i had some of my best nights sleep ever in that bed. The bar was small but nice - we never ate in the hotel so i cant comment on the food. They did have a small shop by respetion, but this was very small. We hired a car and parking was free - limited spaces but there is allocated spaces in the mutie story car park opisit, just a stones throw away. The hotel was pretty much in a rubbish location - it cost us $50 to get a taxi back from santa monica one night - although i think it would have been cheaper from hurmosa beach (which was ace for drinking and eating out). The is not bars and only one restrant near by the hotel so if you are looking to chill out and have a feww drinks in the evening this is impossible with out driving. We found that after doing so much in they day we were too tired to go out in the evening anyway (but then we knew we were going to las Vagas the following week so we would be drinking every night). The is a few take away places round the corrner from doubletree this is about 20min walk.

Car is needed if you stay hear - dont expect all of you to be drinking in the evening someone will need to drive.

Shashing hotel for the price we paid - if the location was better or i was going for busness i would defo go back to this hotel!!
