“Over the top service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

I've been to Flemings a number of times, but until recently, I was unaware that they had a private dining room in the rear of the restaurant. A good friend of mine recently celebrated a milestone birthday and invited his friends to join him in the celebration.

Knowing that real estate in the South Bay is premium, I was surprised to see the size of the room. French doors led to their patio where we were able to enjoy wine and good conversation before our meal.

Despite our medium sized group, we were all able to order off of the main menu. Our server, Michael took excellent care of us throughout the evening. In fact, the shift manager also dropped by a few times to check on our experience. Ambient noise from the restaurant was not a factor as the room is well insulated.

My wife thoroughly enjoyed her petite filet; our friend across from us enjoyed her prime ribeye immensely. My lobster tempura was delicious, in fact, I wish there was more of it on the plate. The bit hit of the evening was the lobster mac. Our side of the table kept oohing and ahhhing over it. The roasted mushroom ravioli with the porcini butter sauce was also amazing.

Even if it's not a special occasion, Flemings offers very economical pricing during Happy Hour. Theire "5 for 5" is very popular. During that time, you're able to sample their delicious food and enjoy their superb service.

“As promised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Have been eating in many restaurants of this chain and the quality of the food has been always at high level. Also this restaurant deserves the same judgement. Only one observation regarding the approach of personnel, kind but a little bit intrusive. There has been no chance to exchange a word with friends which I did not see since a long time because we have been interrupted by every kind of waiters, maitre, etc, trying to show themselves available for details on food, etc.
Understand that they are instructed to do so, but there should be room for privacy.
Probably this "marketing" approach is typical for US, very far from European style.

“Fleming's is As Good As It Gets!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

From the time I spoke to Maria Haro, Manager at Flemings / El Segundo, to change the reservation time to when we departed for the evening, everything was perfect from the greeting, to the food, to the seating location, to the personal attention by their staff. I shared with Maria on the phone that we were treating 5 LA Valley College football players (3 of them are from out of state: CO / MI / FL) to a gourmet dinner and that 3 of the guests probably never had an opportunity in their life to come to a property as special as Flemings. That ended up to be so true and they were overwhelmed by everything they saw, ate, and enjoyed the delicious desserts, too!

The "icing on the cake" was they got to see the LA Clippers which was SOOOOOOOO special to them being they are student athletes.

These guys all had the bone-in rib eye steak with all the trimmings and loved everything - by the way, they did not go home hungry!

“There is no better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

My friends and I had dinner at Fleming's while in El Segundo for a quick weekend trip.

My steak was cooked to perfection, the sides were exceptional, and our waiter was very attentive and helpful. The chef partner also stopped by our table several times, which really made our patronage feel valued.

I've never had a bad experience at Fleming's at any location and highly recommend its food and service.

“Another Great Happy Hour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

The Happy hour menu of "5 For $6 'Til 7" Bar Menu is a great bargain. Best if shared with friends as everyone can get a small bite and feel satisfied. Make sure to order at least one cheese burger and share. It regularly comes with onions rings which can if necessary be substituted for french fries. I usually like my meat medium well. Order this medium rare. It is nice and juicy and just very slightly rare in the middle. Umm umm good.

oh yes, try to get there as close to 5:00pm as possible as there is usually a wait for a seat in the bar or patio.

The Sunday pre fixe menu is also a great bargain and changes seasonally.
