“It really is the only place around”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2015 NEW

I only had breakfast. The pancakes weren't buttermilk. The bacon wasn't maplewood. There isn't anything extraordinary about the food. The buffet is the only option and I think it's about $13. The room is dark and the furniture is way old. I think you're better off getting a bite someplace else and bringing it to your balcony where the views are amazing.

Service was good and food was okay. More like a fancy restaurant but not quite there. They need more variety. A little pricey.

“delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2015

The menu was expensive, but the food was delicious. There are kitchenettes in the room, so if you aren't in the mood to spend that much on food at the restaurant, you can cook in instead.

“Good Breakfast Food & Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2015

Although we stayed at the Cedar Lodge, we drove the 7 miles distance to eat breakfast here because it is the only restaurant opened near our motel. The breakfast buffet is typical American style with bacon, eggs, oatmeal, sausage, pancakes, french toast, biscuits with white gravy, etc. for $13 and $1 more for beverage like coffee, tea, etc. The only restaurant action around so cannot complain about price. At least the breakfast food is good...

“Mediocre Food and Uneven Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2015

The ambiance is pleasant enough - sort of a lodge feeling with beautiful Yosemite paintings on the walls; however the service was curt and brisk. There are limited menu choices, as you might expect in a lodge near a National Park, but the food was disappointing. The salad bar looked like tired old Denny's style, though the ingredients were fresh enough. The hamburger was dry and the French fries soggy. The chicken marsala was overly sweet and sort of like a Lean Cuisine. The only salvation was a decent "wine by the glass" list with generous pours. The only breakfast option is the buffet for $11.95 ($6.95 for kids I think), with just your standard fare - scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, a few pastries and a few types of cold cereal. Had I known that, I would have brought breakfast foods from home to enjoy in our room (which we will certainly do the next time we visit this lodge).
