We spent 2 nights here towards the end of June whilst visiting Yosemite.
Reception was helpful when we checked in and gave us all the basic info we needed. Room was spacious and clean although decor was a bit dated. The aircon was a bit noisy and fierce, great for when you came back to your room, but a bit too much when sleeping even on the lowest setting.
Ate at the bar on both nights. Friendly and informative bar staff, giving a good service. Food was pretty good and prices were not too bad considering there is no other option for miles around.
It about a 10 mile drive into Yosemite from here, the only other place to stay outside of the park in this area in Yosemite C reek, about 5 miles closer. As you would expect, a great scenic drive into the park, with some excellent stopping places to view the Merced River, which runs right past the Lodge and is a great place to cool off after a day in the park. We didn't use the pools. Loads of ice machines around the Lodge, which were a godsend.
We had the breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. $10 for as much as you can eat, buffet style although there are no take outs for your day in the park. Coffee & Tea are extra though.
One point to note, about 400 yards up the road is a white water rafting centre, where you can raft down the Merced. I wish I had known that before I stayed here as I would have loved to have done it (that's down to my own research though).
Overall, considering it's remote location the Lodge's offering was pretty good. A good base to explore Yosemite from.
