“T.V. Dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

When t.v. dinners first appeared, the gathered family dinner table experienced disappeared. Television repaced conversation, insulating individuals much as smart phones, ipods, and other electronic media do today, The most salient feature of the Burgers and Beer experience is not the food but the ubiquitous flat screen t.v.s. I find it a bit unsettling, a bit creepy. I do wonder if the NSA is watching the patrons, all those electronic eyes. However, the quality of the burgers and fries are generally above the fast-food compatition, in price also.

“Not quite worth it...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

This is a place to visit if you absolutely want to go out for a meal without missing your favorite TV show. There is a personal TV at almost every table with its own remote and lots of stations. There are also huge TVs all around the place. Now the food: we had the signature burgers, but there are plenty of other choices too. The burgers are quite good. You can ask for them at your choice of doneness, but I think MEDIUM might be the least done possible, as our mefium rare were medium. The 1/3 pound burger is really not worth the price. It comes open faced with a tray of condiments. The tray really has nothing on it very exciting- ketchup, mustard, pickle slices, peppers. To conclude, pleasant burger, good service, nice cold beer, clean place, but any burger priced at $8 or so ought to be at least Angus.

“Damn good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

This place was recommended to me by the front desk girl at my hotel and she was spot on! I managed to eat here 3 times on my trip to El Centro. The food is bomb and they have some decent happy hour specials. No better place to watch sports, I'm guessing, since there are tons of TVS all throughout the restaurant. Their burgers are amazeballs. I'd recommend the Lava Burger especially, but don't let the restaurant name fool you! They have Mexican food and some pasta dishes too. Amazing chicken tacos, and generous mixed drinks. Maybe this place wouldn't stand out so much in a bigger city, but for El Centro, its top dog!
