“Fantastic hotel and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2012

This Four Seasons is conveniently located near Palo Alto and also not too far from SFO airport. If you're looking for a great, top-notch, customer-friendly, spa-like luxury hotel to stay in, this is the place!

We were greeted extremely promptly and nicely by the young lady at the front counter. The customer service was top-notch here, we were made to feel very welcomed (AND, they remembered us from having stayed there only ONCE before, and therefore immediately got upgraded on our room. Nice)!. Also the room itself is a mixture of Japanese and CA styles combined with Spa feel to the wonderful large and beautiful bathroom (yes, bathroom), stocked with lots of really nice, smell-good L'Occitane products, double sink, glassed-in shower, and in-bathroom whirlpool. Oh, and a huge closet with lights that turn off/on when you open & close its doors! Finally, the bar (off main lobby) is also supposed to be very nice, it looked nice but did not visit on this trip.

Definitely recommend staying here, despite the more "corporate" look to this hotel, and location right off highway. Do not let these things scare you away from staying here. Once inside, you'll see for yourself how nice this hotel is! Enjoy!

I stayed one night in early March for business. The hotel rooms were spacious with a good desk to work on and a nice bathroom area (shower, large tub, two sinks). I was concerned about the noise since it was right off of 101 but they told me that the windows were triple-paned. My room faced the inner courtyard so noise was no issue regardless but in the hallways which have windows facing the highway I didn't hear much road traffic.

The pool was closed for renovation when I arrived so I wasn't able to use it for exercise. Self-parking ($12) is in an uncovered lot next to the hotel [valet option is available for more] and there seemed to be plenty of spaces.

The business center had machines where you could check in for your airline and print a boarding pass without a fee.

Hotel was on par for the family of Four Seasons hotels. I would stay there again in a future visit.

"Brilliant beyond words!" according to our kids, & we loved it too :-)

Our family stayed at Four Seasons Silicon Valley in January for both business and pleasure. We arrived on a very late night flight into San Francisco, and upon reaching the hotel, were pleasantly surprised to be greeted at our car and swiftly checked into our amazing suite. On arrival, there was candy for the kids, and wine & cheese for us (even at that hour!). And a tailored package with tons of information about all the fabulous things to do in the Bay Area.

The hotel restaurant Quattro is fabulous for all-day dining. The food was truly delicious - only the very best of everything! The staff are so attentive and even arranged for meals that weren't on the menu. Next to the restaurant is The Bar, which is a cool bar for both day & night. Room service is also excellent - possibly the best room service menu I've ever seen and ordered from :)

All of the hotel staff were extremely helpful. In particular, Samer looked after every tiny detail regarding our rooms. Lacey on concierge arranged numerous outings for us. Aleksandra was fabulous at Quattro restaurant. The hotel Car Service is also a wonderful service that we took advantage of!

The hotel is very close to Stanford University and Stanford Shopping Center. The Computer History Museum is well worth a visit. The list of other attractions in the area is extensive and we found the choices overwhelming! And then San Francisco is just a 30-minute car trip away...

We're looking forward to our next visit in summer :-)

Beautiful hotel and pool/fitness. Impeccable service. Great location. Just often fully booked so book early!

Room Tip: I like the high floors but have never tried lower.

Best luxury hotel in the area. Quieter and more low key than Rosewood Sandhill. We never stay anywhere else. Also, very convenient to Stanford.

I stayed here for a week for work. As expected from Four Seasons the hotel is great and I had a good stay. If you want luxury, stay here. I'm a business traveler, however, so even though I enjoyed my stay, I probably won't stay here the next time. There are a lot of other good hotels in the area that are much cheaper that provide as good a service.

Location
Its right off Highway 101 in East Palo Alto. So its somewhat convenient to get to and to drive to work from. However, it makes for a lousy view from your room. Its about 30-minutes from SFO and a short drive from down-town Palo Alto where you can find a lot of good restaurants. University Avenue in down-town PA is a nice place to walk around, hang out, or just have a cup of coffee.

Amenities
The rooms are, as expected, very clean with executive style furnishings. Internet wasn't included and though they have a huge parking garage and plenty of parking around it, you are still charged for every night that you park your car by the hotel even if you park it yourself. Valet parking is, of course, more expensive.

Service
Staff at the lobby were very nice though the staff at the door just ignores people.

Wonderful place...great service and excellent location. Well laid out room with space for everything...and very nice bathroom. lovely sleep worthy bed!

Service stands out...just ask for it..and it appears in no time.

The restaurant is average, especially so since it's in the vicinity of a hundred brilliant eating places on University avenue.
