“Perfectly located to get a margarita before a movie, but the food is so so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

This place is located right by a movie theater, it's perfect place to have a margarita if you arrive a bit early. They give free chips and salsa, so there is something to work on to kill time in enjoyable manner.

The food is not that great. In California there are plenty of authentic or "modern" mexican food, so with plenty of choices around, this one tastes like cheap chain restaurant mexican food. It's fairly cheap and fills you up, but everything is average.

One good thing about this place is that it's ok to make some noise there, so if you have a party going to a movie or have a big crowd from your work going out for lunch - you can ask for a big table and go loose a bit. Given that mexican food offers plenty of vegetarian, no red meat, spicy or not spicy options, everyone will find something up to their taste and budget.

“The worse dining experience ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

I've eaten at many restaurants. I'm a grandmother. This was the worse dining experience. My five-year old granddaughter spilled her ice water, and we called the waitress and she left to get a towel to clean the table. Finally she came back and said her manager wouldn't give her a towel so we sat at a wet table with a pile of soaking wet napkins, water everywhere. I wondered after we left if they would clean up the table to get it ready for another party of five! The waitress did smile when she said the manager wouldn't give her anything to wipe up the water.

“Better than Chevy's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Have tried this restaurant twice. Both times found the service good and the food a notch above Chevy's and other local chain California-based Mexican restaurants. They do a good cheese enchilada. The salsa could be hotter, but of course we like things hot in Texas.

“Sad. Such a great location but bad food.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

I mean, come on. Located right next to a busy movie theatre in the middle of a packed shopping center. I have eaten here in the past and swore I'd never come back. Wouldn't you know it, my team mom bought me an On the Border gift card so I had $50 to burn. Took the wife and kids and we all felt sick when the meal was over.

Pretty much everything was bad except the steak for the fajitas tasted decent. The kids didn't even like the quesedilla's and enchiladas. The chips and salsa are even disgusting. They taste like On the Border chose the cheapest quality they could find and then froze it for a month before serving it.

Too bad this restaurant lives on the fact that so many people frequent this shopping center and probably drink lots of tequilla while they eat.
