The environment is relaxing, whether you come here solo, or with friends/family. We (including my 4 year old daughter) enjoying sitting at the tatami section and the friendliness of the staff and owners. We enjoy the food even more - everything is well executed and balance, from the simple dishes like hatsu, ika, saba, to the more creative one like the kimchi and pork dish. The lamb chop is OK, but Yakitori Hiroshi delivers one of the best chicken karaage in the Bay Area, rivaling the famous chicken karaage at Orenchi Ramen in Santa Clara. Be sure to try their hot pot - the portion is enough for two, the soup is subtle but flavorful. Add a Asahi beer and your meal is almost perfect.
