This is an excellent hotel for a overnight stay in which you don't need any comforts of home. However for a longer stay (such as a week) you will find that this particular hotel is not first choice.
Pros: Their continental breakfast is actually decent. Fresh fruits, bagels, waffles, toasts, jellies, cream cheese, juices, coffee and more are all offered. If you prefer something more, this hotel is in walking distance to an endless array of fast food and traditional sit down restaurants. Friendly staff who do address your concerns to the best of their abilities. The free high speed internet works well in most of the rooms and does not get slower with more people using it. Ample off street parking, well lighted outside.
Cons: Aging furnishings leave you with miserable mattresses, lumpy chairs and wobbly desks / workstations. The wall paper and paint in the rooms show their age (and dirt) well, the lighting in the rooms is rather dim due to the use of low watt CFL lighting. They boast about free HBO, however this and ESPN are the only cable channels they offer. Standard over the air broadcast TV (channels 2-13) are the only other options and all of them are very poor reception wise. The windows are single pane glass and allow for a lot of traffic noise to enter the room from the busy main street out front, combined with a nearby fire station makes getting a sound nights sleep difficult.
Overall this hotel is fine for a one night stay, but any longer and your body will disown you for sleeping on the mattresses. If you are a light sleeper then the traffic noise will be an issue.
