“Relaxing Time at The Spring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2006

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at The Spring over the weekend and had a wonderful time. He is still thanking me for choosing such a relaxing and inviting place. The pools are just wonderful, we would hop between the three all day. The massages and facials are excellent. Jennifer is the best...cranial dreamwork is a must try. I just can't say enough about how relaxed we were...it was something that we both needed. Thanks again 'The Spring'!

After driving past this resort, that is well disguised behind a white stucco wall, we were totally surprised to find "shangrila" hidden in the desert. We were warmly greeted, and immediately offered a cool glass of the famous mineral water with a slice of lemon. We were given a tour of the beautiful grounds & amenities, including 2 mineral pools, a mineral jacuzzi, a steam or dry sauna, & the spa area. There is a common area "living room" where they serve great coffee & a delightful continental breakfast. Board games and magazines and a bowl of fresh fruit are there to enjoy. We stayed in room #6 which had beautifully stained concrete floors, and very Zen like furnishings. The towels and bedding were soft & plush and we are still on a mission to recreate the fresh & clean scent that was always present in our room. The mattress rewarded us with 2 nights of heavenly sleep. Every member of the staff was helpful, pleasant and eager to please. Our spa services included the clay/sandalwood wrap that he said was wonderful, and I had the Spring Buff was invigorating yet relaxing. He had his first facial, the "Gentleman's facial" and said it was like heaven, and I had
the "Spring Zen Breeze" facial done by Michelle and it was the best, and she was kind enough to research & recommend some skin care products for me. We spent hours in the enclosed pool just relaxing and enjoying each other's company. The owner is very charming and takes great interest in her guests thoughts and comfort. She has created a very peaceful, tastefully decorated, luxurious yet simple oasis. No televisions, telephones, pets, kids, or disruptive noise....ahhh we will definitely be back :) Thank you

My boyfriend and I just came back from an amazing Labor Day weekend at The Spring, and we are the happiest couple in the world. We had such an amazing time! Relaxing by the pools, soaking for hours, reading books, getting spa treatments... just incredible! We took full advantage of the in-room kitchen and brought in our food for the whole weekend, so we never left the property and stayed in our robes and suits for the entire weekend. The kitchen was great, although I'm glad I read some of the reviews on this site before my trip which reccomended bringing one big pan. That was BIG help!

Overall, it was a wonderful romantic and relaxing weekend. We had both just come off a very tough six months of hard work, so this was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. We highly reccomend The Spring and will be returning again VERY soon!

  • Liked — The BED was amazing and the kitchen was great!
  • Disliked — We had the room that wasn't directly in front of the pool, so we didn't have our own chairs
  • Tips/Secrets — Bring a big frying pan if you plan to cook, and ask for room 9. It looks like it's the best one.

Maria Lease and her OUTSTANDING CREW have left no Zen stone unturned or missed any attention to detail at this meditative desert retreat where we go to refresh and relax as often as possible (but don't y'all come down at once 'cause we want to be able to get a room whenever we want one!!!)

There are just not enough superlatives for this place! As close to utopia as we’ve found. Went for a couple of days to decompress after a long strenuous project. Could not have asked for a more relaxing environment. Nothing but the sound of the wind and the birds chirping in the bougainvillea. The mineral waters do indeed have therapeutic values – my wife’s auto-immune syndrome which causes extreme discomfort in certain joints were surprisingly soothed by the mineral waters. Friendly staff and knowledgeable therapists. We will be returning as soon as possible. Cannot recommend this place enough!

This place really surpassed my expectations. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway...this is it.
The staff are accommodating, the rooms are perfectly situated around the pool, and the grounds are just beautiful. I will definitely be back.
