I go to The Spring every six months to participate in the "cleanse" which is run by Jan Minter (which I highly recommended) and I can't think of a more perfect place for a full body detox.

The staff are superb and very attentive; the spa services are second to none and the rooms are warm and tastefully decorated and inspire calm and relaxation.

The jacuzzi and pools are built on Hot Springs and are soothing and nutrient-rich, helping the body to rejuvenate.

I feel renewed in every sense, every time I go to the Spring and look forward to return.

I've been to the Spring 3 or 4 times and each time, it gets better. Each visit I see little thoughtful changes that make my stay more perfect. Each time I snuggle in those wonderfully soft linens I wonder why I've stayed away for so long. A white gauze curtain can be drawn across the open French doors as you lay in that incredible bed. On this visit they have added a beautiful stone outdoor shower. I stood there under the stars at midnight taking a shower and then slipped in the hot mineral pool. What an amazing night! Stress is gone. I really do feel renewed. Thank you, Maria, for making such a wonderful place for all of us to enjoy.

My husband and I arrived on Friday the 23rd during the busy holiday weekend. We were greeted by the friendliest and most professional young man named Brian as we entered the lobby . We were offered a fresh cold glass of their wonderful "local" water. It was divine! He then showed us around the property and explained where continental breakfast is held, where to meet the therapists if we booked treatments, the 3 different pool areas (all mineral water), the Spa area, including the very impressive sauna, changing rooms, etc. We were then escorted to our room, where he so delicately placed our pool towels onto the bed and offered to fill up our own pitcher of water. Very attentive and special service!

The property was very tranquil and other guests seemed to already be enjoying this oasis in the desert. We soaked in all 3 pools and all were very relaxing and very comfortable considering how hot it gets in Desert Hot Springs.

The continental breakfast was "just enough" and offered a variety of items. Oh my! We had the best granola ever! The only suggestion we would offer would be to have some kind of dinner available for purchase for those of us who just want to stay in and not hassle with restaurants.

We will definitely come back and pass on our "little oasis" in the desert to friends and family.

The place is amazing hands down. But I'd recommend Hacienda Hot Springs over this place, simply because the guests seemed to be more fun, the layout of the grounds more natural, and the owner much nicer at Hacienda Hot Springs. Price is also lower there. And the granola... mmm :)

Anyway, about The Spring: nice amenities, guests are generally respectful, and there's a great sauna to use (if you're deranged like my boyfriend and like that stuff... in 100 degree weather).

I didn't get any names or anything when I went, but the service was excellent - I'm guessing there were maybe two or three managers at the resort, and they were attentive, friendly, and overall very accomodating.

The problem started when we left.

When we left, we were rung up by an old lady. I think she was the owner. She charged us extra $25 for staying until 4pm, though we were told that to book a late checkout time was 4pm. She made no attempt to remove this charge.

We paid with Spafinder gift certificates that were bought from Costco at 20% discount. The owner gave us attitude about using this form of payment. She also overcharged us by $180 on accident (which she graciously apologized for, so I don't really hold it against her). The owner told us that she wanted to discontinue acceptance of these gift cards because the resort was losing money on them. IT"S CALLED ADVERTISEMENT, LADY.

Anyway, the experience was nonetheless amazing, but if I were to visit while the lady was around, I think my rating would have changed dramatically. If you have money to spare and like a small resort setting, I'd say come here, but I'd also advise you (strongly) to look into Hacienda Hot Springs first.

Oh yeah, and my boyfriend caught a scorpion-spider hybrid in our room. Not cool.
