I came here with my boyfriend and dogs for a quiet, yet enjoyable weekend. Prior to arriving, I loved the fact that we could bring our doggies and not be charged extra pet fees. I saw that it was a small boutique hotel and got the sense that it was a welcoming environment. While the hotel is clean and well laid-out (we enjoyed the dog park and the pool), it was exceedingly lacking in the hospitality department. This was a HUGE miss for us. Firstly, the owner/manager of the place is almost unfriendly/cold. I tried introducing myself to her the first morning and her response was lukewarm (she mumbled a "hello" and that was all). She retreated when I came in with my dogs, as though she did not want to engage at all. In my other interactions with her, she didn't make eye contact and I got the sense I was intruding on her and her dogs' space. I started to wonder what I was paying for. Secondly, we stayed in a room located directly underneath the live-in space (either the owner or someone who manages the hotel), and at 7 a.m. , we were awoken by dogs above us running about. I know everyone is on a different schedule, but when you have guests directly underneath you, you would think you would be more conscious of the noise out of respect for your (paying) guests.
Our experience was just so odd and unappreciated that the negatives outweigh the positives, and we will not be staying here again or recommending this place to our friends.
Do not choose room #4! It is underneath one of the live-in's rooms and you can expect noise righ...
