What a great getaway. Just a heads up to the younger crowd, this is a quiet relaxed environment, not a place to party. My friend and I had the most chilled out time in the hot springs, getting some great massages and the place is really beautiful. The restaurant is stylistically out of date and would feel stuffy if not for half the patrons being in bathrobes. Highly recommend. Our house was HUGE and had its own hot tub.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was kind of at the last minute but Jennifer and Danielle were able to make it happen. Danielle put together a package that included a couples massage dinner and breakfast. Our casita was right beside the tennis courts which were in good condition. Our room was big and had a cute little patio that was surrounded by foliage. Our room was very clean and had top of the line shampoos body gels and lotions. The staff had large pool towels laid out for us when we arrived. The inn is very quiet and serene. The restaurant was phenomenal. Thanks Ivan! The spa has an extensive menu and our massage therapists (Mark and Tracy) were very patient and very knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back!

We did not stay at the desert hot springs ( though we wished we had), but instead went to their spa for the day. The location is away from Palm Springs and some may feel that they may be in the wrong area. But persevere.

This spa and hotel was originally owned by al Capone and has a colorful history. Today it has an amazing spa and heated hot spring pools to soak in.

When you are there , you feel like you are out in the country somewhere with majestic old trees and vegetation. I personally prefer a spa with some charm and character rather than one of the modern, somewhat antiseptic spas.

My wife and both got massages and my wife persuaded me to get a facial. Wonder ful experience and very talented staff. You must take a walk around their grounds and see the ponds and the ducks. A very relaxing experience.

The restaurant serves very good food in a delightful setting. Before you leave, grab one of the outdoor seating areas outside the restaurant and enjoy an evening cocktail or a glass of wine (except for the designated driver).

Highly recommended and worth the drive.

I wish I could join all the other reviewers who wrote rave reviews. My husband and I went there for the weekend a couple weeks ago because we had a loss in the family and we were both exhausted and sad and needed to de-stress and have some quiet time. When we got there the first day everything was ok, we noticed it was run down but we were willing to forgive that even with the uber-luxury resort prices (that exceeded the most expensive resorts down the road in Palm Springs). We chose a luxury suite which was good enough, we were too run down really to care, it was good and all the staff kept emphasizing the new ownership and that things would take time to improve ad nauseum actually. Not only that but be forewarned, there are no amenities like room service, inroom stocked refrigerator, no workout room -- all things that go unmentioned on the website. The food at lunch was pretty good but dinner was below mediocre, the wine list extremely bad for a place garnering top prices and the menu was mediocre too -- all surprising for a place that claimed to be much more than this online. Anyway, willing to overlook all of this our toilet blocked up the first night, then overflowed at 7 in the morning. The maintenance was prompt but we had to say goodnight and good morning to them. Willing to even let that go in our "luxury suite" we went to breakfast where my husband found a large long black hair in his cold bacon. That was the last straw. We decided to leave and wanted to do so amicably. The staff was overly apologetic and tried to help. We were there on a package deal and they organized our bill to only pay for what we had used and they charged us more than 3/4 of the package price! We had not even been there for a full day and were scheduled for three days! They insisted that we come back in a year when the problems were ironed out but neither of us ever wants to visit again. In all fairness they offered a voucher for two free nights but it was like a joke by the time we were finished. It looks like no one else in these reviews had the same experience but visitors should know that this is potentially your experience too. I can see how someone might have a good visit for a day but beyond that... Most of all, I want the so called "new and wealthy owners" to know exactly what happened to us. The place has all the potential but is only living up to half its reputation. Al Capone, the man who built the place would roll over in his grave if he had been us.

We recently spent a lovely day at Two Bunch Palms Resort as day guests. The grounds are a beautiful oasis in the desert, and very serene and relaxing. They encourage peace and quiet and that's exactly what we found. The Grotto was a wonderful place to enjoy the hot mineral springs waters, with both a cooler and a hotter pool available. We also enjoyed relaxing massages, in their outdoor cabanas, and a tasty lunch in their on-site restaurant. It was fun to be able to keep your spa robes and bathing suits on in the restaurant. They even encourage it!
The only downside, was the spa itself. It was small and hard to access (down a dark narrow staircase) and full of small rooms and narrow corridors. The co-ed locker room was miniscule, and their shower facilities lacked the amenities and space that most high end spas provide. Their restroom was so small you really had to work at getting yourself around the door and sink to get in...it wasn't much different than an airplane bathroom. I realize that it is an old and unique facility, but that area could really be improved.

Kudos to the General Manager, his wife who heads up a great front office staff and the new owners! For those of us worrying about Two Bunch as it sadly ran into hard times a few years back...let me say absolutely, our worries are over! Better than ever with just a few, subtle changes! Truly thought the Grotto could not be improved. Surprise! Now, same delious water temperature, but the fountain flows at the same spead all day/ night long! What a blissful sound...the grounds are being kept beautifully, rooms clean and beds as comfy as ever! The restaurant is now truly outstanding! Complements to the chef and wait staff too! No need to leave to eat anymore:). My only wish is that they could do something to the clocks...as relaxing and wondrous as our time at Two Buncg is,....time just goes by too quickly:(. But, now...how sweet to be looking forward to returning...no more worrying about this resort! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You have preserved a truly retreat. So, so appreciative! So blissful to have been Two Bunched once again! Looking forward to our return and we haven't checked out yet:).

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Marking 75 years in 2015, Two Bunch Palms has much to celebrate. Last year's incredible renovation of the 270-acre property resulted in 70 'soulful' new room accommodations, a farm-to-table restaurant Essense, passive solar earth mound yoga dome and a new View Point conference center and meeting facility with views of the valley against the San Jacinto Mountains. This physical transformation, including the addition of a 3.5-Acre solar field, puts Two Bunch Palms on the destination spa map as the first "Sustainable Wellness Resort" in North America and the first carbon-neutral resort. A legacy that spans several generations of guests-from notorious gangsters to Hollywood elite to romantic spa seekers-the property and its newest incarnation brings a rich and storied history full circle. This adult-only sanctuary (guests must be 18 or older) invites you to explore the four pillars of the resort: waters, spa, movement and cuisine. Their renowned, natural lithium-infused spring grotto features two mineral water pools carefully kept at a consistent temperature to ensure therapeutic and mood-enhancing properties. Guests are encouraged to "take to the 600-year old waters" and connect body with spirit before enjoying the spa well-known for its intuitive healers and authentic treatments. The new Essense restaurant features healthier gourmet dining prepared by a Le-Cordon Bleu trained chef with the help of a PHD nutritionist. With a nourished body, guests may partake in more than 35 wellness activities, such as meditation, art classes, tai chi, qigong and yoga in the beautiful new dome. ... more   less
