“Octoberfest delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

On the weekend we visited they had a special Octoberfest menu with bratwurst, suckling pig, duck breast and all the trimmings for two for $42.00. Everything was good but the duck breast was exceptionally meaty, moist and crispy.

“Nice place to have a beer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Davis excels in good weather, usually, and sitting outdoors to eat is therefore a pleasure. Having a beer outside in the summer is so incredibly evocative of many places in Europe, it is hard to resist the temptation. We have been dropping in for many years now, either for lunch, dinner or just a thirst quenching beer at day's end. The beer list is interesting and poured well. A pint of beer, about the size of a truck engine's cylinder, and a good book, outside in the afternoon shade, that is a nice thing. That said, the food is not primo, actually borderline thud bucket heavy but if you come in with a good appetite and Czech (also read German style) cooking is your thing, then you are in good hands. And they have a wide selection of cakes, some quite intricate (excellent way to subdue appetites of little ones while the older folk have a beer). The site itself is old timey, rather like wandering into an house onto which additions had been haphazardly made. Inside the main part, you do get a central European vibe. The service is always good and with a smile. Check it out, you will know if it's for you.

“Lovely place for dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

My husband and I had a lovely dinner tonight at Little Prague. There was a jazz band playing and it was not very busy but the food was tasty and the service was attentive. We will return again and would like the opportunity to enjoy the outside dining.

“European food in a cozy setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

My family went here for my dad's birthday, who loves German food. The food was great, the service was excellent, and it's a cozy little place. I know the food isn't really German, but it has sauerbraten and red cabbage, which to us is German. Really a nice change!

“Great German Music - Average Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

We had a fun time enjoying Homecoming in Davis, Ca while visiting this college town. We were drawn into the restaurant by the outdoor band. The food was typical heavy Austrian/German fare, but hearty and good. The daughter waited on us and seemed to want to be elsewhere. The whole family seemed weary. They recommended a particular dessert, that we shared, but we did not find it that good, perhaps we were full. Final tally: Good basic food, so- so dessert, average service, wonderful music and ambience, a very good evening, just not exceptional.
