Wonderful hotel and great location. Very relaxing. We were in town for a soccor tournament and plan to go back when we have more time. Everyone was friendly and accommondating. The ocean view was very beautiful.

We spent 2 nights here for New Year's Eve. Except for the train noise, which didn't bother us, it was quiet and clean w/ a wonderful view of the ocean. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was typical for these hotels... waffle maker, cold cereal, packaged pastries, scrambled eggs and sausage. I'm not crazy about this food but for most Americans it is fine.

We were in town over the Christmas/New Years Holiday and had a two night stay in Dana Point. I chose the Best Western for Value and Location. I booked through EntertainmentHotelBucks and got a great deal, we actually were going to extend our stay but I could not get the same price again but the hotel was willing to match it, but we opted to continue with our Original plan to go back into the Desert (Palm Springs). This is right across from the Beach - there is nothing but a few passing cars to obstruct your view. I love that Best Westerns include waffle and eggs breakfasts, along with other Continental Breakfast Items. And that they include Free WiFi.
This particular location had a underground parking area, which when its full it would be hard to move around if your not a comfortable driver.
Your room entry is outdoors but covered. It's set up like a multilevel courtyard setting. Very charming. There is an elevator or stairs.
Room was very large, had 2 queen beds, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Along with the usual bath amenities - soaps, hair dryer, etc.
The receptionist was very nice and pleasant and seemed to enjoy her job and was very accommodating.

I only give 4 Circles just because I don't want to confuse anyone to think this is a 5 Star "Resort". It's a hotel/inn. Things are a bit out dated but there are some updated things - like the tv and Counters that you may not get in some 4 Star Hotels that have been around for a while.

For what it is and the price for what we paid for it, I'd give it a Five!

We flew in Los Angeles and arrived late so phoned the hotel to advise it would be about 11pm
When we will arrive at 11.30pm there was someone there to greet us and was very helpful.
We had an Ocean view room which was very nice. But the down side was the noise from the trains and road but to be honest this may be that the wife is a light slipper and we were both Jet lagged.Plenty of parking under the Hotel, great free breakfast.
