I might have rated this hotel average if it weren't literally across from the beautiful Pacific Ocean, but I can't because of that fact.

I was curious as to who would rate this hotel "terrible". I always find it a bit suspicious when terrible reviewers only leave one or two reviews.

First off, I don't know anyone who pays for breakfast here. Maybe that was under old management because now the breakfast is included in the hotel stay and it's not horrible, but it's nothing amazing either.

If you're staying in Dana Point please venture outside of your hotel's continental breakfast and dine at one of it's great breakfast/brunch locations.

Our room/ semi-private balcony was facing the ocean. Yes the main road is right in front of the hotel, but I've never seen it busy enough to be a distraction to what's straight ahead.

Clean hotel, nice staff, and convenient distance to quaint towns such as San Clemente. I think this is the best Best Western I've visited!

Great room, great rate.....less than 150/ night midweek, across the street from the "Blue Pacific" Great sunset. Spacious room, micro, very cold frig, small bathroom but very adequat. Nice deck overlooking theGreat Pacific. Plenty of parking under the Hotel, great FREE FULL breakfast, eggs, toast, muffins, juice, coffee, tea, hot choc, freash fruit.....very helpful staff

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! Very clean, beds clean & comfortable. Nice granite, clean fridge & microwave in room. Super cute well kept courtyard- Hot tub was clean. The breakfast was better than average, As well. Totally recommend & hope to get the chance to go again. Our room was right across the the way from ocean. Gorgeous views!

We were visiting friends less than a half mile away so we were not expecting much even with all the good trip advisor reviews. We were pleasantly surprised and feel we can safely say we stay no where else when visiting Orange County again. Our room was large and the bed was the super comfy and not just on hotel standards - it was a good bed. And good pillows which is such a rarity in hotels. Parking was easy and it was great to wake up and get a cup of coffee and cereal from the breakfast bar and sit looking at the ocean. For those not familiar with this part of southern CA be warned that you are right on PCH and right across from the train tracks. But so are most of the other places so do yourself a favor and stay here.
