“Long Get Away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

My partner and I were here for 3nights. We stayed on the club level which I recommend. The service there is excellent. The types of beverages alcoholic and non alcoholic was great as well as the food they had.
The resort is nestled on a cliff which over looks the ocean and offers awesome views. Don't forget to bring a camera.
180bleu lounge is nice as well. It is located outside with an ocean view and EXCELLENT VIEW OF THE SUNSET.
Its only 15-20minutes away from Laguna beach and its a great ride on the PCH.
We would definitly come back to this hotel.

We stayed here while my husband attended an on-site conference for work. We have a one year old baby who did not come and so we were trying to catch up on much needed sleep. I think we both slept better at this hotel than we had for an entire year!!! The walls are so thick that I did not hear even a peep from the hall or from the rooms above, which always bothers me! Needless to say I was blown away. Luxurious sleep due to comfortable beds and quiet room (by the way the hotel was booked full so I know we were surrounded by people we could not hear). Would stay again in a heart beat. Also the gym was very nice.

I went to this hotel with my husband and daughter. We stayed there for 4 days and we were so disappointed. I admit that the view to the ocean was fabulous and the hotel landscape was very pretty and well kept, but everything else felt like not that special for the price of the room.
The spa was so overpriced and the facility itself lacked the luxury I was looking for. The lounge area, where you wait for your masseuse, was more like a closet. I've been to a better spa with so much more to offer.
The food wasn't that great either, except for the burgers. Everything was too expensive. I ordered a very pricey ceaser salad at the pool area, and it took about 45 minutes (I complained to the waiter about the wait, and he said it was because the food has to come from upstairs -- I don't like when people give me excuse for things like this, instead of apologizing and speeding up the service). When the salad came it tasted like it was made last week. The chicken was so overcooked that it was uneatible. The nachos had some kind of spray cheese, really awful.

The bathroom in our room was okay, but again expected a much nicer bathroom for the price we payed. We had to shut the bathroom door to shower, because the steam from the shower would make the smoke detector to go off, and when we did close the bathroom door, the bathroom was so foggy and we couldn't use the mirror for another 30 minutes.

The staff was overly friendly and it makes you feel uncomfortable. They are friendly in a creepy way as if they are trying really hard to be polite that in the end feels forced.

The beach was nice and clean. But the hike going back to the hotel was a pain.

I normally don't complain about things like this, but my expectations were high for this hotel and I was so disappointed for what they charged me for. For that price, I expected so much more, because I have been to places with that kind of price that provided services equivalent to what I payed for. One thing for sure, I would not go back to this place.

This hotel provided some of the most beautiful, picturesque views of Salt Creek Beach and the coastline. The hotel itself was gorgeous and serene...display after display of freshly cut roses lining the lobby and hallways each morning, and crackling fireplaces at night. The fitness center was amazing with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the beach and coastline. We would happily return tomorrow, if we could!!!

We enjoyed a four night visit before Christmas 2012 with our 9 year old including a welcome gift upon our arrival! She enjoyed the incredible staff at the kids program - participaing in the cook class, boogie boarding, snorkeling and crafts! Mary in club level too such incredible care of us during our stay - including upgrading us when we had some concerns about construction noise. the rooms are beautiful and the staff is so very friendly from the valet, to the spa (Holly was terrific) and fitness, as well as the fabulous restaurants.Thank you for making our family memories so very special. We have visited the resort 3 time over the past year and can't wait to return for spring break next week!

We returned to the Hotel after being there four years ago. We had an amazing time the first time we went to the property and they didn't disappoint us this time. We stayed on the club leve both times and all our needs were met or exceeded. It was nice seeing some of the same staff from our last time we were there . They are very kid friendly From the time you drive up on the property the staff is there to greet you and take care of anything that needs attention. All the food in is delicious and the staff is there to handle all your request to dining reservations travel maps and geting the beach stuff set up. The views from the cliff are breath taking The only negative was we had to leave and go back to reality.
