“This is one of the best beaches I have ever been”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

The location, waves, and scenic beauty. It is situated in a cover beneath the Ritz but it is a public beach that anyone can use. Park at the meters on top and use the little cart service for $1 if you have a lot of gear. You will not be disappointed.

“Great beach, rock warning at south end”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

We rented a condo right by the southern entrance to Salt Creek Beach. It was a bit of a walk down, but had a great shower and bathroom station. Right at the bottom was a sign warning of rocks, but even when we went north of the sign we still got scraped on hidden rocks. Not a big deal, but be careful. I am sure the further north you go the less the risk. Tide may have effected our exposure as well? Regardless, the beach was excellent, the waves were fun to play in and I would recommend this as a fun beach to play. Glad we stayed here.

“Beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Great place to relax and only a short walk from the Ritz Carlton. Lots of people exercising and surfing in the morning. More crowds after lunch.

“Beautiful Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

This beach is so beautiful.Wonderful water, excellent surf and lovely white sand. Not surprisingly the Ritz Carlton is positioned above it and when we were on the beach we were next to Simon Baker and his family. One of the best beaches I have ever been to and the walk down is lovely and the return shuttle bus for $1 well worth it.
The best beach in South L.A.!

“What amazing tucked away Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

I started going to this beach as my kids were in Jr. Life Guards here. I had spent the last 20+ years at Newport Beach or Laguna, or Huntington Beaches which are definitely more crowded. This beach is amazing! Parking is cheap $1/hour, and easy. You walk down a hill, there is a huge grass area that over looks the beach and the ocean. Many people just bring a blanket and hang out here. There is a basket ball court, picnic tables and sun shade, as well as charcoal barbecues. There is a snack shop in between this part of the park and the Beach. The Beach itself is great. tons of room and feels private. For those who like surfing, boogie boarding, or body surfing this is the place. The water is usually 5 degree warmer here (I have no idea, however all the locals know this) the wave have a great break going left to right. Love, Love, Love this place.
