“Beautiful property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

I had a very good experience at the hotel this last weekend. The property is gorgeous and incredibly well maintained. My room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom amenities were quite nice. I was here for a convention and the food very good. Two issues keep me from an excellent rating, to get to the beach you need to take a tram and the drinks are very expensive!

We needed a reconnecting weekend away from the weekend routine and this place was perfect. The rooms are great, great beds, lovely location with a path to a spectacular beach. There is a great lobby lounge and everywhere, areas that can be enjoyed to relax, have a drink and enjoy this resort. We loved it. The staff was impeccable and non-invasive in service every place we were!

I stayed here during a business trip. The service was top notch with great accomadations. The only comment I have to share is that I am not sure why the spa is ranked as one of the top 25. It was nice, service friendly, and the treatment good, but I have been to better, especially considering the price.

I have traveled throughout the world and I must say, this St. Regis is the most fabulous hotel I have ever been a guest! The hotel, the staff, the grounds - words do not do justice.
Our suite, although on the first floor (104) had an unobstructed view direct to the Pacific - the hotel sits high on a cliff - and sunsets on our private patio were majestic.
We ate each night at the hotel and the food was outstanding at each of the restaurants -

We stayed here a couple years ago and recalled that service was lacking as requests for extra towels and soap were a bit slow and the staff was inflexible to accommodate our needs. However, our recent stay here on 10/30 was fantastic. Room service was quick, staff were courteous, bell staff was helpful, valet was quick, and the one time we were locked out of our room due to a deactived key, security arrived in no time to let us in. Really couldn't have asked for a whole lot more. The only disappointing thing was that the amenities weren't as good as before. I recalled that each room came with VOSD water before and now it's just a generic water bottle with a St. Regis sticker over it. Not a big deal though since in this tough economy, some cuts has to be made in order to survive.

Room Tip: Paying the extra $150 to upgrade to a suite with Butler service is highly recommended. They usually...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a conference during the 3rd week of October. It is definitely a 5 star resort with all the services you can ask for. What really stood out for us was the top notch service throughout the resort. The only hick-up I had was room service was a bit slow and my dinner arrived about 30 minutes later than estimated on one occasion. Overall the staff is well trained and very professional.

The only issue I had with the resort was it's location. It is on a beautiful golf course location with shuttle access to the beach area however it is not a hotel where you can walk to town or other restaurants. There are walking trails throughout the area which are great for morning exercise and views of the ocean but you need your car or a cab for anywhere else.

The rooms are amazing with large patio's to watch the beautiful sunsets. The pool(s) area are excellent and the best part about them was that the water was warm!!

This is a very expensive resort so be prepared for that however you won't be disappointed. Would love to come back.

Room Tip: Must get a room that faces the inner courtyard-pool area.

Large hotel, beautiful views, great service... You get what you pay for, so it is expensive. Don't care for the $35 valet daily fee.

Property restaurants are top notch as are the menu items. Even a simple burger is insanely good here. Breakfast on the patio was a great way to start the day.

Would definitely come back.
