“Excellent Courtyard!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

Everything you would expect from the re-modeled style of Courtyard. Front desk was very pleasant, as well as the the staff in The Bistro. Room was quiet, bed was comfy, the outdoor pool was great. I wish the towels for the pool were more clearly labeled, had a tough time finding them. But that could be contributed to my own ineptness.

Thank you for your comments. I am so glad that your stay with us was pleasant. We do strive to offer top notch service. I appreciate your comment regarding the pool towels. That is a fabulous suggestion and I will work to make them easier to locate. I do hope we will see you at our hotel again soon.

This hotel has made a commendable effort to make its public areas (poolside, bar/cafe, computer desk) attractive and modern, but the amenities offered in the rooms are not up to par. They offer only shampoo, not conditioner or hand lotion or body wash, and the bath towels are very thin. I also thought the service at the front desk was quite erratic--excellent upon our arrival, rather poor the next day. Be warned that the cafe, which does have nice prepared breakfasts (instead of a buffet), is not always open and runs out of some items. We did receive a poolside room at the back of the motel, which did not seem affected by the noise from the nearby freeway. I was also pleased at the weekend rate we received.

If you are looking for a decent hotel in the bay area, this is could be the one for you. Like other reviewers have noted, it is a bit noisy so ask for one away from Wolfe Road or the Highway. Hotel is close to many restaurants in the area as well as walking distance to Starbucks and Asian markets/stores. Rooms were clean and service was good, no complaints.

The good news is it is a Courtyard by Marriott so you know what to expect and receive the known standard. However if you have the bad luck to receive a room facing Wolfe Street you won't sleep much. Guess one needs to learn about building sound proof buildings. We also found it hard to find the right access road of Wolfe Street. Larger chain hotels should also think about an AC system that runs silent without creating so much noise and using up so much energy; or produce the energy using solar power. Cupertino, CA has more than enough sunshine! Ultimately it would increases the sleeping comfort not only at this hotel, but all others as well. Also reduce its carbon footprint and be more sustainable.

Room Tip: Definitely request a room away from Wolfe Street!

This hotel is very convenient to most businesses in Cupertino area, right off Wolfe and 280. They have done a good job with recent updtaes and renovation, and it's "ok" for a business trip of 1-2 nights.

On the positive, the location is great, the staff friendly and the price pretty reasonable for the location. On the downside, without a lounge or restaurant, we (myself and business associated) found that we didn't have a place to congregate in the evening. Also, the beds are not at all in line with the industry (i.e., The Marriott Bed, the Sherator Sweet Sleeper Bed, Westin heavenly bed, etc.) I found the bed (and bedding) to be much more like a roadside motel. Not terrible, but clearly not a great night's sleep.

Overall, I would not mind coming back, but would look for a more upscale hotel within 5-10 minutes if it were my choice.

A good hotel close to the business center of Cupertino. Only problem is that it lacks a continental breakfast option. Breakfast in the Hotel cafe is quite pricey but there are a few local food options that serve breakfast.
