Everything was as expected, nice and clean with nice amenities I did not have time to use. The hotel got busy one night with an evening function and the parking lot was very crowded. There were people directing the traffic and that made it bearable.

Many other reviews stated that the beds were too hard and not adjustable. Just a phone call to the front desk remedied that problem with easy instruction on how to make the mattress softer. This was an ideal location for us, close to LAX. They now have flat screen TV's and although the furniture could do with a complete redo (looks like its from the '90's) the rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate a the restaurant at this location and the food was very good, way above the usual hotel meal. The restaurant could hold its own as a stand alone one. A pleasant experience!

This hotel is tired. It's gone through a number of reincarnations but it's still the same old place. The rooms are in dire need of refurbishing, especially the bathroom. Although the bed was comfortable (a Sleep Number double), everything else screams mid 80s. I was only there for a short time, but I have stayed here in the past due to its convenience. This time my stay for only for about 8 hours and I was on my way to my next adventure! I was surprised that they do not have a business center, but two computers in the lobby. I stood waiting for nearly 20 minutes to print some emails while someone was filling out some incredibly long questionnaire without regard to the rest of standing to use the equipment. Also, the TV channels are all screwed up. They don't match the listing sheet in the room and some channels are just not there. All in all, this time you did not meet any of my expectations.

My husband and I recently returned from our second stay here. We usually submit low ball Priceline bids and have never paid too much to stay here. Overall, this property is fine but more of a 2 star hotel than a solid 3 star. The staff are fine, overall the room is comfortable, and the bedding is fine. If we were really crazy or losers, we might have taken photos of the carpet stain or smudges on the wall but we didn't. We understand that these rooms must have a lot of visitors. FYI- The fitness room is great (usually empty when we go) and the pool looks decent.

Visitors without a car probably should think twice before staying here. My husband and I are budget travelers, so we never pay to park our car and can usually find street parking a few blocks away. We visit the West LA/Santa Monica/Venice areas when we stay here and are happy to save a few bucks on accommodations by staying here. We're really curious to try Dinah's Family Restaurant one of these days.

We'd give this hotel a 3.5 rating if we could.

Our experience with this trip was highlighted by the team member that checked us in for our stay. Jessica? was very accomodating from assisting with special handling of our billing to recommending and arranging for our tour of LA. She was the best!

Close to several touristy locations (Venice Beach & Santa Monica pier), needed a place close to UCLA campus & LAX. To tired to go out on first nite, so ate in and was surprised by the great quality of their food (but $$ little pricey) Older hotel, but accomodations were adequate, service was outstanding, and personnel were extremely pleasant (especially front desk mgr) after a noisy room a/c made for a bad nights sleep (of which an excellent buffet breakfast was complimented). Everyone was extremely helpful with directions to information, and will definitely stay at this location again.

Room Tip: Close to 405 Fwy, so if sensitive to noise stay on west side, lower floors.

The staff here was very polite, but I probably wouldn't stay here again unless I had business at Sony. Culver City is REALLY far out of the way (not the hotel's fault, I know), but what little there is to do there the hotel is still a cab ride away from, so the location is not optimal. Also, our toilet didn't work and there was quite a mix-up over that--we received a call that it wasn't fixed and we needed to swap rooms, then while we were packing up, we found a note that it had been fixed, but it was too late to not swap rooms as our key had already been decoded. It was just weird. We were told the toilet couldn't be fixed because they'd have to shut off water to the whole hotel for an hour to do it. Not to make the whole hotel cut off water just for us, but weren't they going to have to fix it eventually anyway? I mean, were they just going to let the next guest check-in with a broken toilet? The manager did credit us a night's room after I asked but the whole situation was just weird. It is worth noting, though, how polite and friendly the staff was (except the short the bartender--make sure you get the tall guy). Plus the pool area is gorgeous and obviously well maintained. That's why I say this is a mixed review.
