“Fills by lack of French restaurants on West Side not by it!s food quality.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Went several times to this restaurant as I am French and some times nostalgic of my country's food -when no time to cook. While the atmosphere is ok (but careful not getting squished in the back) the food is almost always disappointing to us. Too much cream everywhere. Specially in some mussels. Bread not good (Trader Joes baguettes much better!) and you have to beg for butter which of course is not great.
We also picked up pre ordered food a couple of times, they always forget some dish! Nice small fries -if you get them warm enough. One of last restaurant to make a steak tartare, but far from quality and taste it could have. Meat too far and not freshly grounded before served!
Food overpriced for what is offered. Tables too small. Most waiters have no idea about French food but after all most clients don't care since there are not many French affordable restaurants any more on the West Side! Lili!'s was a much better deal and had more authentic food. So sad that the Venice financial exposition drew them to close after so many years! Meet always fills up because of the location and how small it is though..

“Unexpected and consistently wonderful venue.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Every time I go to Meet with friends and family it's an adventure in perfect food and wines. The service is a step up from excellent. What's always n ice is that you are greeted by the owner. People probably don't know he's the owner, but know he has greeted you without exception!

“Restaurant Week!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Met at this wonderful restaurant with a party of 10. When we arrived the place was already bustling with energy and the place was quite full already. Thankfully we had reservations as it was restaurant week in LA. Although it was noisy, it was a happy atmosphere. We had alot of different dishes as there were so many of us. I had the trout which I have never tried before and I must say it was one of the most delicious dishes ever! Several had the steak which was also great. The service was almost a little too attentive as the second you put your fork down it seemed they wanted to pick up your plate. That is something that bothers me. I know they must have had a very busy night but we were obviously dropping alot of $$$ with the large party we had so I would have appreciated not so many people scooping up everything so quickly. The desserts were really good also..had the creme brulee which was fantastic. The seating was great also as one side of our long table was a bench with comfy pillows. There was a wonderful outside eating area which was very busy with people taking advantage of restaurant week. Most of our party chose their special 3 course menu which was a good bargain. My niece and her boyfriend just moved to Culver city and they are so excited there is so much happening there for them and their friends..they are late 20 and early 30 age group. Very good experience and would definately visit again. A shout out to our server, a young lady (sorry don't remember her name) with alot of patience and an honest opinion on the dishes available...

“J'aime les moules!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

Truly a corner of Paris or somewhere très Français in the middle of Culver City.ate there on a deliciously rainy night but the covered enclosed patio area was cozy an well heated. Good service and wonderful food we both thoroughly enjoyed. Not sure where else in town you can get so many varieties of mussels- the marinara ones (with skinny frites, natch!) we're superbes! Allez-y! On mange tes bien ici!

“Best Mussels and French Fries!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Tuesday and Wednesday nights Meet has "all you can eat" Mussels. They have about a dozen different choices of broth. Delicious! Fantastic outdoor dining in downtown Culver City. Wait staff is helpful! Bread comes out hot fresh from the oven, and the wine list has great choices!
