I had heard about this place for years and finally stopped by. It is dirt cheap and some of the best tacos you will find. We arrived to find a substantial line of customers although it seemed to move pretty quickly. We tried their classic taco, one with cheese one without. You get so much cheese you can actually use it for both tacos. The salsa was good too. The rice was about average but we only got a small cup so not sure I should pass judgement on it so quickly. After adding some of the salsa to it, it was fine. We were lucky enough to snag a table inside but they did have a few picnic benches outside as well. Its definitely a "must experience place" although having gone there for that reason, I am definitely going back for the tacos. Keep in mind this is a plastic utensil, paper towel dispenser type eatery so you should plan on a 'super casual' type meal. Its right off the 405 freeway, easy to get to with their own parking lot. Cash only but they do have an ATM. Vegetarians would be fine here as well although probably not vegans. I think its one of those unique, old places in LA you should really try at least once just to say you've done it. It looks like many people get it to go but there is something about sitting down and wolfing down old fashioned tacos that adds to the overall experience.
