My company put me up for 2 months here while I found a place. Wish I'd found a place sooner. Sometimes the room was cleaned, sometimes not. On more than 1 occasion, I called to ask if I could borrow a vacuum. I left the coffee stains on the wall next to the coffee pot just to see and, sure enough, they were still there after 2 months. There was a "working girl" working out of the room downstairs. The Hooters next door has poor food, horrible service, and attracts a noisy late night weekend crowd. I wouldn't recommend staying here, and I would never choose to do so again.

I stayed at La Quinta Inn Costa Mesa for 5 days. The staff is super friendly and wonderful. They took care of any problems right away. The room was very clean and had high speed internet. When I checked in, internet was not working. However, I called the number provided and they sent someone to fix it right away. They also have a shuttle service to and from the airport and anywhere close by. The night that I got in, they did not have a shuttle driver. However, they told me to catch a cab from the airport and they pay for it (which they did). I rode their shuttel to another hotel about 3 miles away, where I had to attend a conference. So, I could get around even without a car. There are two problems with this hotel though...1) It is located next to I-405 which makes your room rather noisy. However, you could ask for a room not facing I-405, which reduces the amount of noise. 2) The only restaurant close by is Hooters. There are many other restaurants around but you would need a car as they are on the other side of highway. Overall, I was very happy with my stay. Their rate was about $67 per day which was alot cheaper than many other hotels/motels in the area.

I read several negative reviews about this motel so was somewhat apprehensive when I booked however I was very satisfied with everything on my recent 2 day stay.
Several people mentioned it was "noisy" so I assume they were talking about it being next to the 405 Freeway. However once you are in the room, there was no problem.
I stay here primarily because I have 2 dogs and most places that allow pets have a 1 pet maximum so it was ideal for those with have pets.
It is convenient to both Costa Mesa & Irvine with easy access to the 405 and 55 Freeways.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone especially if you have pets!
The staff was courteous and I was able to checkin early. The room was clean and A/C was O.K. & you do have internet access in the room.
The Huntington Beach Dog Park is within 10 miles of this location so if you have dogs it is a GREAT PLACE to take them and they can walk right on the beach!

I paid 120.00 for a single room that was definitely not worth that much. I kept trying to check-out on the TV as the menu on the TV said, when I called to ask for help, they said oh yeah, that doesn't work anymore, and they advised me to just get a receipt from the online booking program. The fixings for the in-room coffee- maker weren't stocked, I called, they sent more around but left it outside without letting me know....had to call again and be told it was outside (and I mean outside, not in a hallway). Then the coffeemaker itself didn't work at all. Free breakfast was over at 9:00 am which seems awfully early to me! Also, this was MOTEL, not a hotel........room access is from the outside by the dark parking lot. About three feet from the fwy. Should have been MUCH cheaper.
