Our 1st room had ashes in the sink mud on the floor and dirty towels in the bathtub. The next room hadn't been clean yet!!!!! Maids threw dirty water off the 3rd balcony, right on the pathway. The staff (With exception of the mgr) were very rude and not at all helpful. Air conditioning rattled so bad we didn't even sleep. They did fix it the second night. every thing DIRTY! NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!

This hotel tends to overbook. We made reservation directly with the hotel and we called two days before arriving to confirm that we had rooms. We showed up at 6 pm on Thursday Mar 26th (not even the weekend) with printed CONFIRMED reservation but the hotel claimed that they did not even have one room left for us. They do not honor the confirmed reservation. We had no choice but to either drive back to our home or take their offer to put us in other local hotels.

Do not go to this hotel unless you want to risk driving/flying back home that night with sad children. Your time is more valuable than to waste bothering going to this hotel. Although we stayed with Loews Coronado several times in the past and we are a Loews First Member, we are not going back there again.

This also happened to several other families we spoke with right outside the hotel and at the local hotel we stayed at. The other hotel's desk was also aware of the problem so it must have happpened before.

We stayed in building #4. The view was pretty good and away from the pool and high traffic areas. The cable tv was unbelievably complicated - you had to go back to the menu each time you wanted to change the channel.
The cafe food was expensive and poorly made - don't eat the sandwiches! we learned our lesson and went to Mona Lisa and brougt back our own food for the rest of our stay.
The front desk staff were alright, the valet staff were great as were the spa folks - that's about it for service. We had a couple of bartender that were pretty nice but overall they were not the "quality service" staff the hotel proudly boasts about. The house keeping service was sloppy and incomplete.
Finally, I would have rated this okay but twice, we returned to our room to find that either room service or the housing keeping service left our door open! As a result, the lack of concern for their guests safety - I have to rate it as terrible. We got a "sorry to hear that" from the staff. For the price and expectation- a complete and utter disappointment!

We were treated Like we were the only Guest at the resort. Upon Checkin the lady at the Front desk hads our kids their goodie bags, they loved them. Every staff member we came in contact with was pleasent, and helpful. The restaurant on Site was great, very good Mexican food, and Breafast. Our room was great. Beautiful veiws, overlooking the pool area, and the Bay. Parking was really convenient, just under the hotel, and an elevator ride away, Beds were really Comfy! the bathrooms could use a little updating, but the towels, and robes were clean and plush! Overall this is a Great Place to Bring your family for a mini vacation. We will be returning soon!
