I moved to Coronado a few months ago & I have been here twice so far. once for after work drinks, early dinner & once again for brunch. Everything is fresh with good flavor. I loved the mini ahi tacos in a wonton taco shell, very yummy. Split a few other apps with our table, chesse & meat plate, pretty normal & average. a flat bread type w/ a lot of fresh spring mixed veggies, also good. The mole inspired ribs, not the best, my friend ordered, we all tried it & the sauce was way too "smoky" tasting that none of the 5 of us liked it. My friend even returned the meal & ordered the mini ahi tacos that I had. My other friends ordered a spicy shirmp & pasta dish w/ grits that was also very good.
Went back last week for brunch, no amazing brunch deals but had a friend who talked about the grilled cheese like it was as delicious as a steak, so I had to try for myself. IT WAS AMAZING! I highly recommend the tomato bisque & grilled cheese, with cremini mushrooms & spinach, so tasty! The deviled eggs are pretty good, too but a bit too sweet tasting for me.
The meal changes pretty often which seems to go with whatever local fruits. veggies or meats are in season, I like that concept....just hope that the grilled cheese is always available!
